just an update for any one who helped, i got back after 3 days and everything made it! i actually had my house mate come in twice and feed them some flakes and check the temp, but everything held steady and consistent. had to go out and buy a marineland stealth heater 100W to get it right...

yea i planned on leaving the light off, maybe leaving the blinds open on one of windows so some light comes into the room (not directly into the tank). but yea ill just hold back on the feeding, and hope for the best, but i know ill be a wreck about em all weekend , damn this hobby

hey guys im going on vacation for 3 days max and i have a 28 gallon fish only with inverts tank... just wondering what i should do in terms of feeding... vacation feeder? if so, any one have any good ones i should use? or should i just feed right before i leave and not feed untill i get back...

na have had the damsel for a month and it was terrorized by a pseudo i had, mainly why i got rid of it, the damsel is an azure damsel (blue but with yellow on the bottom running back to his tail, this site doesnt have one), less aggressive then most damsels, my lfs keeps em with other fish in...

i just got a royal gramma myself, he was swimming around in the open with my other clown and damsel in my tank as soon as i added him, and he ate literally 15 minutes later when i put food in... my lfs only buys fish from particular trappers that do not use chemicals or dynamite for capturing...

yup, i took him back and got a royal gramma instead, and i bought the cleaner shrimp... everyone gets along very nicely now and everyone looks great... the gramma didnt even hide when i introduced him, he was greated by my clown and azure damsel, and they all swim around together out in the open...

im going to go against the grain on this one and say its doable. my lfs does custom tanks of up to 2000 gallons in homes all over the country (usually LA and san diego for tank that big), and they have been setting up salt water tank of their own and selling fish for 21 years. they have a 1200...

My purple pseudochromis is only 2 inches long, will i be able to get a cleaner shrimp thats around the same size or larger with out the pseudochromis trying to eat it, cause i noticed it says to monitor the pseudochromis with shrimp?

if u put straight freshwater into saltwater it takes a second for it to diffuse into the rest of the salt water. what ur seeing is the freshwater trying to mix with salt water, and i makes like a oil mixing with water effect, i know exactly what your talking about... but yes i would still test...
