Jewled morays, mexican dragon eels, stay under 2' and can be kept in as alittle as a 50 gallon tank despite their size. Mine is a great eel. Not aggressive to other tank mates but when feeding time comes he will bite anyone in his path to get his food. VERY HARDY. I have to feed mine everyday so...

k dogg i have 1 in my46 bow for 7 months...he is doing great...I do consider myself lucky because Im the one in a handful who has a docile one. he is about 4-5 inches i say. They could live in a 46 for a good while because my friend has one for 3 yrs now in a 55 but i would say dats tops

i agree with evilss, my friend had a puffer whose beak got so large that he refused food and eventually died...It might be to late but try what i said before it has a good chance of working...please post some pics

well too get his beak down offer some food on a rock.....he should scrap up against it.......u can also try to offer some shell fish..oysters, clams ...etc...........About getting him to eat it could be very difficult..With my niger, once in a while i have to place food with a stick or tweezer...

The 5 is not a hwx its a bowfront type.....not too sure what name brand it is.....I was thinkin of getting some lr and maybe a shrimp...I just need advice on what equipment to buy because im new to nano tanks

no i have an established 46 gallon bow for about 8-9 months now...I used to have a 72 bowfront as well... I just thought it would be intresting to start a small nano i can keep on my desk in my room.

thanx clarkii..so the hex has no choice of working out??? because it size was a good size for me.... I also have a really small 5 gallon tank. Its a bowfront type. Not too sure if its a 2.5 or a 5 but if it is a 5 will that work???

Hey guys need a little help started a nano. Im not too sure if im actually going to go through with it but I found a 10 gallon hex in my garage. Now i would need the equipment because the freshwater equipment i had is just not going to cut it. Anyone have ideas of what I should buy. and please...

gas i did what you said and it worked perfectly. Feed the eel 2 raw shrimps, then i threw in some krill for the triggers. At first the eel wen to eat the trigger food too but after struggling with the fish to see who could get to the food first, he let them get it and decided to back off. Thanks...
