I have a pice of rock with what loks like grains of white rice with a tuft of hair at the end.Is this baby feather dusters? they look kinda fat.

My favorite is a purple psudochromis. small colorful and full of perssonality. they will play with you from the other side of the glass.very hardy and not in the least bit shy.wanting one is why i set up my tank again after 7 years.Cant wait till i cycle. :D :D

I belive nitrites should fall and nitrates rise. this is not my case.i am going to do a partial water change tonight or tomorrow.

my nitrates seem to be falling, yet my nitrites are staying high. Has anyone ever heard of this? could it be algae eating the nitrates? I have a 30 gallon with 30 lbs l.r. and 20 lbs l.s. Thats it. 2 1/2 weeks old. everything else good. :eek:

its probably a no-no but i use stuff called crystal clear. Then i put poly fill in a whisper and just keep changing it. im sure i will get yelled at for using that stuff

i dont have a whole lot of experience but what i do have is positive. i searched the net and they are definitly the lowest price. They also give you exactly what you ask for. i felt they really read my request and fufilled it. i cant wait till my tank has cycled so i can order a clean-up crew...

O.K., so you should have a certain ammount of watts per gallon. How do you rate it with all the fancy new bubs. I have a mini might with 9 watt bulbs. But they say the bulbs are as bright as 60 watt bulbs. So wich is it 9 or 60? also which is better osram or philips? are the spectrums diffrent

i hate micro bubbles. :mad: I would love to know which protine skimmer is the best for making the least :p How is the prizim hang on in this case? it seems that everyone likes berlin but is it overkill for 30 gal.?

how long is too long to keep a salt water mix for water changes? does it go "bad" after a while? should it be stored in an open or closed container? should it have aeration or circulation?or is it best to store fresh water and add the salt when im ready to use it? thanks in advance

anyone ever use a product called poly filter or does it have the same efect as carbon?

Thanks, and nce to meet everyone. I guess i was thinking they could clean off all the stuff that didnt make it on my live rock. I didnt want fish right now, just some pigmy seahorses and lots if critters poping in and out of the rocks. Any cool suggestions?

i have been set up for 5 days with 30 gallons,25-30lb live rock, 20 lbs live sand,20 lbs base sand. when does a clean up crew go in? no water tests until i get to the store this wekend.I dont know if they go in befor or after a cycle.

I am having trouble finding info on how mangrove seedlings do in a reef tank. Are they good for reefs, do they grow fully submerged, and if so do they get out of hand with a live sand bed? any info would be great. :confused:
