On the glass of my 72, I have tiny little white curlyQ(bugs?) on the glass. They do not come off the glass easily. They are no bigger than a 1/16 of an inch. I hope this is enough info. Thanks Ian

46.5" bulbs. If I had the money I would love to go out and buy more equipment. However I do not, so I am just trying to work with what Ive got. I think there would be some advantages to running NO lights.

I am currently running an IceCap 430 ballast with 1 Actinic and one 50/50 white. I am thinking of adding one more Actinic(the 430 ballast will sustain the 3rd bulb). I was curious what opionions you had on adding two NO florecents and what types to use. Thanks for the input. :cheer: Ian

I have about the same setup and I think I have the RIO 1400. I think its about 375 gph. The overflow box will not overflow because it only can get as much water as the pump puts out.

How close to the top of the rise tube should the water level remain for optimal foam? Keep in mind I have never run a skimmer before.

also...the algae on the glass is extremely hard to scrape off.
