polished aluminum is probalby the cheapest, but you will need to make sure that is has a good clear coat (poly) finish. other wise the metal will oxidize and lose its reflectivity. polished stainless steel is best but cost three or four times as much. @least in B'ham

i have found that with a little effort you can make a mag7 or rio2100 match up fairly well and the results have been very good. since the change with the incease in water flow my water quality has increased greatly

i had the same problem and it turned out to be a combo of nitrate problems and brittle stars. the nitrates killed and the stars scavenged

the only problem that i know of with the eclipse 12 gal is lights. I have seen it done in the shops but am uncertain exactly what lights they used

there is so much algae in my tank that i can't clean it enough to get it under control. i have read that some is good and that some is bad. could someone enlighten me on the truth <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />

the algae in question is a green long and thick mess. there is also a thin layer of a purple/red slime growing on the live rock. is this good or bad
