friend of mine has a yellow tang and says she has black bug looking things on it. i thought ick was white? but im not to familiar with it because i havent tried to deal with it yet

I just recently joind this site and now there is a place where i can ask so many questions that i have, Thank all of you so much. Ive had my tank up and going for about 8 months now its semi reef and i dont have a protine skimmer but everything is thriving do i need to buy one? or is it a pref.?

maybe ill get rid of the damsel hes so small and ugly ive had him since i started doing saltwater and only got him cause they cost nothing compared to the others to see if i could handle this hobby. lfs will take him back. maybe i can do it that way? :thinking:

Mine was very aggresive until i bought my clown. The clown bullied him a little and now they are great. and yes whenever i do my water changes he will try to jump other than that ive had him about 8 months and no trouble. B ut now ill keep and eye on it. ***)

I agree i had the same prob i lost a bulb anemone because of that. i just recently got another rose anemone and he went straight for the power head also, so i rearanged my rock and he found a place wher hes happy its been about 3 months now and no trouble.

sorry about that its a 30 gal tank have 2 power heads have very good flow and its been going for about 9 months now, also tap water

how big is your tank? generaly with anemones and most coarals you want about 3 watts per gallon of water less than that and they wont do to good. as far as feeding them mine eats pellets that fall on it and watever is floating around in the water that and the clown will actualy bring food to it...

Im having a problem controling brown and red algea in my tank i have to clean it off the glass everyother day my water readings are 0,0,0 1.024 and ive tryed almost everything any ideas will help

last night was cleaning my tank and a rock must have moved and pinched a piece of my rose anemone, this morn. when i noticed it i moved the rock to let him free a piece of his tenticle was on the botom of the tank. now he has been hiding out of sight all day. what can i do to help or should i...
