its the filter b4 the pump...i have a pre filter at the skimmer box..then a poly pad filter above the bio balls.. what i wanted to do is remove that last filter sponge and fill the bottom woth live rock rubble and cheto and i would put a divider at the pump so the cheto wouldnt get sucked into...

can i remove the filter that is in the bottom and then fill the bottom with live rock rubble and cheto to make it kind of a refugium

i just started to add preimun live rock that does have it. but i doesnt seem to be spreading. none on the glass. do i need a certain amount for it to take off.
