What is the white film that floats on top of my water???? This might be a dumb question but I'm just curious. If I tap the surface of the water white flakes come down. What is this? All Levels are ok.

Thank you Viper for the link. The first pic is more like what I have. I messed with it and it since retracted into the rock and hasn't shown its' self yet. I'll get it tommorow with the boiling water and turkey baster....Should I take the rock out of the tank and do it or should I do it inside...

Is there any type of aiptasia that resemble these yellow polyps? Cause the one that is on my rock looks kinda like that but it is brown, has fewer and longer arms.

I found this pic on the forum, and I see one of these came on one of the pieces that I just bought.... I moved the piece and it went into hiding....I don't mean to offend the original poster of this pic, but I'm just wondering. :notsure:

I do too, I write my test results, when I did my water change, when I added things to my tank. I also wrote the exact date the tank was started.

What kind of worm lives in a self made dark tube (like a small feather duster) and lets out 2-3 long thin hairs to feed itself?? Is it good or bad????:notsure:

I hope its coraline, I touched it and it didn't feel slimy and it didn't come off when I touched it. Thank you for your replys:nervous:

I didn't know coraline could be a burgandy color. The pic doesn't' really show you the color as dark as it is.

Anyone???? I could post more pics if needed. It hasn't gotten bigger or really spread that much. All my levels are ok the tank is about a month old and was started with cured rock live sand and sea water from the LFS. I have been using RO to top off every since.

I'm From Miami too... I've been to those on Bird and To the on on 167th in N Miami, there is also one in Hialeah next to Westland Mall (but don't go there, they try to pay the rent with just one sale) I have also been to Aquarama on NW 27th and those guys are pretty cool.
