Confused about RO/DI units please help me....

I got a 110gpd unit from ---- for $125 w/shipping, it does have an auto shut off switch, and love it, I have mine installed in the laundry room, easier to get to, and the tank is just on the other side of the wall. I couldn't see spending $300 for those other units. If you would like to know...

    Which lights??

I have had the same fixture and power centers for over 6 months and haven't had a problem with either of them. As for the power centers you have to realize that if you over load them with too much power you will burn them out. I only use them to operate my lights and power heads. Everything...

    Where to start???

The $30 kit at Walmart, my daughter has one for her goldfish, the only problem I see with that kit, it the hood, it's an incandescent hood, and doesn't put out very much light for even fish, I'd listen to these guys above and check out the nanocube, I've looked into them and they are sweet...

Adding VHO what bulbs to use?

I currently have 4x65 watt PC's under a wood canapony, looking at adding a some more light. I have just enough room for (2) 36" VHO bulbs. My question is currently with my PC's I am running (2) 10,000K bulbs and (2) 03 Acntic (sp) bulbs, so what bulbs should I use in the VHO's, 2 more...

    PC or VHO. . .!

I'm running PC 4x65 watt (2 10K and 2 03 Act) on our 55 gallon tank and have had nothing but success. Granted I have a limited number of corals that I can keep, but my coralline is thriving and growing everywhere. Maybe I just have a "Blue Thumb"! Granted I'm trying to figure out a way to fit...

    Switching Salt Mixes

I was considering changing salt mixes and was curious on how I'd go about doing that. Would I just go ahead and start using the new stuff, whenever I do a water change or is there another way. I know, probably a dumb question, but it's better to ask, than kill off a whole tank.:notsure:

    Pairing of Lions

Appreicate the advice...already have all the RO/DI water I can handle, wife has a reef tank. Also already planned on hooking up a wet/dry to this tank. What I might have to do is figure out which one I like better, and just go for one, till I can get the room for a larger tank.

    Pairing of Lions

I was looking at setting up a 46 gal bowfront next spring, as a Predator tank. I was wondering if it possible to house 2 species of lions together. What I was looking at was a Fuzzy Dwarf and Dwarf Zebra. Also, what else would you suggest putting in there or would anyother fish be overkill...

    Skimmers

New to the boards here and need help, what is the best skimmer for a 55 gal tank. I want to put the skimmer in the sump. The one I was looking at was the Kent Natilus TE, but was told that was overkill for a 55 gal. At the same time I don't want to buy a useless skimmer either. Granted I'd...
