yeah they will but the cortez is a very small ray to begin with...i think he will be fine...i have seen the tiniest ray ever...i was about 3" and was called a florida ray..dont know what that meant but was tiny. Has anyone ever heard of a florida ray???

there a good fish to have and have great eye sight unlike morays. I have had many of them in the past.

I would go with the tank...IMO ponds are cool but you can never see them from the side, only the tops. if you have the money then do it right.

soaking his food is not nessary..just mix up his food so he doesnt get sick of one thing...it is not uncomon for an eel to go on a mini hunger stike as well..good luck with the new eel and make sure your take has a tight lid or he will get out.

snowflakes dont stay small forever..dwarfs are the way to go if you want a eel to stay small...they are expensive though.

oh and how are all the fish doing.. the reef is starting to come together... i could really use some more fish though.. these would be perfect to help me restart my tank. I just bought a queen angel down in the city for 60$ and he is pretty big. Around here he would go for around 125-150. well...
