    mutli-tank system

Looking for ideas on setting up a system with 7 tanks, one 55 gallon and six 29 gallons. All tanks are pre-drilled with one inch holes drilled in the upper corner for overflow. I plan on doing the return over the tops of the tanks. I am looking for a good reliable and hassle free as possible...

    mh retro

I will be setting up a 24g Aquapod soon and would like to increase the lighting. I want to stay with the stock with the canopy so was wondering if this would work as an add in to the hood. *Link Removed* I have already taken out the stock fan and replaced it with 2 better fans so maybe the heat...

    hitch hiker?

I have what appears to be 2 baby pin cushion urchins. My tank has been set up for well over 10 months and just a few days ago I noticed the 1, and today I can see another. They are about the size of a pencil eraser, but other than that look just like other pin cushions. Is it possible that there...

I have a retro fit kit and love the unit itself but the bulbs are cheap. Look into replacing them soon if you do purchase.

    micro bubbles

Forgot to mention the 90's going to the pump are all glued one after the other. Maybe I need a long section after the first 2 to get the pump lower from the top of the tank? The intake is atleast 4 inches below the water line, but actually lower than the pump pulling the water.

    micro bubbles

Checked everything and I know it's the closed loop. I am not using any spnge on the intake for the mag7. I am running two 90's to get up and over tank, then one more leading to pump, all 1 inch pvc. Then a reducer to go to the mag7 which is 1/2 inch. Then coming out I go back to 1 inch from the...

    micro bubbles

I have a closed loop running with a mag7 on it causing alot of bubbles. Could it be from using 1 inch on in and out causing cavitation? I also have 3 90 elbows on the intake side and 1 on return. Any help here would be appreciated.

    torch trouble

I noticed a bit of green hair algea growing around one of the heads on my torch and need some advice on how to remove it without hurting the coral. I have thought of maybe a lawnmower blenny but have been told that they may nip at lps and clam mantles. Any advice here would be appreciated.

    zebra eel

I live in Quincy, Illinois. Hope someone can take him. I do have the option of taking him back to the lfs but first off he would be going into a 30 gallon tank, and secondly I work there so I know there isn't too many people I can trust around here to take care of him the right way.

    zebra eel

I am looking to sell a 3 foot zebra eel to someone who knows how to take care of him. My plans for upgrading to a larger system for the eel have fallen thru and in the best interest of the eel I think I need to get him in a better home. I have never shipped a live animal and know very little...

    Update of the 90 Gallon

Instead of moving all the rock around or out, just get some tubs and drain the tank down to where the fish has limited places to hide. Works great and won't hurt your rock or livestock if you can do it quick. I've done this to my reef tank. Drained down to a few inches above substrate and nabbed...
