I believe this might only be with the MH light, but i have read stories of people coming home and finding that the ballast has caught on fire due to a bad capaciter. IMO i would say get one at your own risk. Personally i would spend the extra 70-100 and get a current satillite. Nick

How much water are you adding?? When you add water to a tank you need to pre mix the salt with the water otherwise it will kill the fish, especially when you are doing water changes. Nick
