    Jawfish types

you'll find that the three types are very similar. I've tried them all and didn't notice any distinct changes between the types. Enjoy and have fun with them! Beautiful fish.

Raising ghost shrimp in an auto topoff reservoir?

Keep moving their diet around. Different foods will help with their immune systems and allow them to be healthier.

    Moving

Thats how I did it, rubbermaid buckets. A couple for live rock, the rest for fish. Keep you fish and corals in a safe place in the vechicle and you should be fine. Keep those air pumps pumping!!!

    Need Help Real Bad!!!!!!!!

Seems like you added too much, too fast. Slow it down, start your cycle over again and get rid of that amo. Remember start slow, once your cycle is over add something more hardy. Perhaps a single clown. Good luck

    Tank looking bad!!!

tap water for sure is your problem. That is why you are getting that nasty brown algae. Switch over to RO and you should be fine.

What kind of lights to get?

It's not a bow believe it or not. Hand me down tank, with weird dimensions. I picked up the lights today, and they look great! I also bought a zoo frag, and a ricordia mushroom, and currently they are open and looking beautiful. So right now I'm happy with the choice. I'll have to post some pics...

What kind of lights to get?

Well after speaking with my LFS, I think I've decided to go with the coralife 192w model. For $220 bucks I don't think I can go wrong. All I really want to be able to do is keep SPS corals, so from what I've been told this will do the trick. I really don't have the budget for MH lamp. Hopefully...

What kind of lights to get?

400w? That seems like a ton of wattage! What does your setup look like? Do you hang the lights over your tank? I guess I'm just trying to figure out how I would be able to have room for all of that.

What kind of lights to get?

Currently I have a 46 gallon tank, and was curious what you guys might recommend for lighting? Right now I'm using a 115w standard 2 tube setup. One Acintic and one normal day light. I was looking into possibly getting the coralife 36" PC, 192w model. Would this light really be worth it? Any...

    Zoos

Well i just purchased a frag of zoo's from my LFS, and its been 3 days since I put them in the 46g tank. My levels are all within check 0 nitrite, 5 nitrate, 0 amon, 1.024 salinity, although my ph just dropped to 7.4, so I put some marine PH buffer in to help raise it. I'm also running a...

    The Mighty Seahorse. Rarrrr

Well from what I read on the seahorse.org site, it seems that a 15g would be okay for 2 erectus horses. I'd rather go with maybe a 20g tall though. From what I read it seems as if the more vertical room they have the better. Seahorses takes everything I know about a FOWLR tank and flips it...

    The Mighty Seahorse. Rarrrr

Would a class specific seahorse tank be possible in say a 12g Nano? If so I wonder if I could go as far as adding a few soft corals. My Girlfriend has been asking me to put seahorses in my display tank, but I know they have to be by themselves. Thanks in advance.

    coral life super skimmer

Also make sure that the intake pump is only 3 inches max into the tank. I didn't realize that I should cut the tubing that came with my pump when I first set it up. As soon as I cut the intake tubing, and also the tubing that goes into the bubble diffuser, I started to get a nice amount of foam...

Add snails/critters during cycling or after?

Same thing I was about to ask. Good question

Water changes during cycling and general questions

Looking back on it I don't know why my LFS recommended using damsels. They insisted that due to the hardy nature of the fish that it was common to use Damsels for the first 30 days. They even said that after my cycling process was done, I could return the Damsels for half credit. Should I be...
