    Injured Clown

Yeah, I had to move the rock so he could swim out from under it. He's been in my tank for at least 3-4 years.

    Injured Clown

My clown fish (Clarkii Clownfish) apparently got stuck under a rock somehow and now he is seriously injured it seems. I'm not sure how long he has been stuck under it, it couldn't have been that long though. His left eye looks badly damaged, it has a white ring around it and it looks all...

    Tank overstocked (algae problems)?

The fish are doing fine and there's nothing crazy inside like a tang or anything that wouldn't fit in a 34G. The fish consist of a clownfish, a couple blue chromies, a hawkfish, and engineer gobies. How do people usually get rid of fish? Do LFS's take fish? I was forced to do this, it wasn't...

    Tank overstocked (algae problems)?

I recently was forced to downsize my 100G tank into a 34G Red Sea tank. Obviously a lot of my rock had to be removed, except I only had 7 fish at the time and only a couple corals so I placed them all in the 34G even though I thought the tank would be massively overstocked. Well it's been...

    AP vs. Red Sea Max

I have a RSM and while I don't think it's the greatest tank ever; everything on it works pretty good after messing around with it for awhile. Skimmer works perfectly. The filtration pumps are weird because if you turn one on the other refuses to turn on because the water level in the back...

    Salt Mix/Calcium issues

Yeah when I used to use oceanic my batches of salt water had pretty high calcium levels too. It didn't have any negative effects on my tank as far as I know.

    What Type Of Salt?

I've used IO: Reef Crystals, Tropic Marin Pro Reef, Oceanic, and I'm trying Coralife right now since I've heard good things about it. So far out of the three I've tried I liked Oceanic overall the best, the calcium levels were the highest out of those three I believe and I didn't have any...

    yes/no ???

I would say you shouldn't get them just because they will eat your other snails that are in there if there are some in there.

    Help me stock my 55gallon

I would definitely get a lawnmower they're so cool, they have a lot of personality. It might be best to wait until some algae grows though so he has something to eat, although the one that I had had no problem eating algae sheets and regular fish food.

    Tough Algae Problem

Recently some really tough algae has been growing on the glass and back of my aquarium. It's not like any algae I'm used to though since it's really tough to scrape off and none of my snails will eat it. Can someone identify this type of algae for me and tell me how I could get rid of it?

    New moonlights

I just installed some new moontube moonlights and when I turned them on some of my corals started to open up. Is this good for the corals or is the moon light too intense for them? Shouldn't they stay closed?

    Coral Flow question

I believe they like moderate flow. If they have too much they form sweeper tentacles that will sting neighboring corals.

    Clown attacking star polyps

My clown sometimes bites my star polyps and moves it off of rocks for some reason. I haven't glued it down yet since I just put it in yesterday, but he's constantly flipping them and stuff. I feed him a lot so I don't think he's hungry. I thought clowns were not supposed to nip at corals...

    Hawkfish problems

I recently put in a lawnmower blenny into my DT and my hawkfish went crazy and kept on attacking it until it just hid. I managed to get the hawkfish out, but I was wondering if I put the hawkfish in quarantine for awhile and then reintroduced him would he still attack the lawnmower? Should I...

    Blue Spotted Kole Tang

Will a yellow tang harass a lawnmower? I have a yellow tang and a lawnmower in QT right now and they seem to be doing fine, but it would be horrible if later on the tang started to pick on the lawnmower.
