Might sound crazy, but if your water parameters are fine, all live stock doing great and u are adding supplements (cal,iodine,alk,ect...)would u have to do water changes?? Just wondering cause i'm on 6 weeks without one now, not being lazy, but wanted to experiment. Everthing is doing...

your system should use cal. if it didn't, why would you add supplement cal??? I do agree with the ph and alk playing a factor. i'd get those balanced and see whats up with the cal.

i would stop adding cal. and check your alk, a ph of 7.8 is low, are you adding anything to get your ph up. I add seachem marine buffer and it maintains it at 8.3. My cal was high once and i rode it out.i wouldn't do so many water changes. i've learned that you need patience. it just will take...

make sure you feed your brittle stars too. I lost a goby too one and did some research and found that they like krill and silversides. :D I feeding once a week

its not the weight of the rock thats important as some rock is more dense then others. you should have enough lr to cover approx. 1/3 of your aquarium. I have 145lbs in my 80. fiji and marshall island. great stuff! ;)

sounds like you have bubble algae, u need to get emreld crabs

check your water quality, sounds like nitrates could be high. :( try testing and do a water change. maybe cut back on lighting till you get under control. :)

it's best to leave the lights out so you don't have algae blooms.
