I recently purchased a brand new 220 gal tank. Within about 3 days the silicon became stained yellow. All the tubing I purchased from the company turned yellow too. The tubing I purchased from Home Depot is clear. The tubing looks like a "strep culture" growing on it. Suggestions of what it is?

Hello My 220 gal came down with ich Dec 18th. It have been in hypo since that day. salinity constant at 1.009. Last week I saw NO ich on any of my fish (4 weeks into treatment). I put back the LR into my DT and now Ich is appearing. Question #1 How long can the salinity be at 1.009...

Can you use a sump for a freshwater tank? Do you need more filtration for a freshwater tank than just a sump?

my salinity is now down to 1.012......I cant make enough RO/DI fast enough. It only makes 75 gal a day

I do relize that the absent of white spots does not mean its gone. I just want to know that what i am doing is starting to work.
