    Problems

I put a piece of sponge and it helped drastically, but you can still see quite a bit of white particles if you look closely in the main tank. Would putting live rock on top of the mud help it from being stirred up, or does this defeat the whole purpose of the mud. I'm really unsure what the...

    Problems

no i do not.... the water overflows from the chamber with the mud directly into the chamber with the pump, kind of like a spillway....i added water to the system so that the water doesnt pour over, and that stopped almost all of the particles. Im guessing i should put some sort of sponge in the...

    Brown Algae?

Hey have had my 90 gallon set up for a couple weeks and it looks like a browins/rust color algae is spreading. You can see it on some of the live rock, over parts of the live sand, and parts of the back wall. Is this some sort of alge growth, or could it be something else? What would be the...

    Cycled?

I purchased 120lbs of live rock from an online retailer. He said it was totally cured, and would not need to go through the curing process when i received it if i got it right in the water. I have had it for a few days now, and all my water tests are coming back good. 0 nitrate readings, and...

    Live rock today

Just received 120 lbs. of live rock, and from what i can tell its really nice. I have a 90 gallon tall aquarium and found it somewhat difficult to fit it all in. Small parts of a couple pieces are resting against the back glass...will this create a problem? Also it seems pretty sturdy, it...
