    Purple Lobster

So after researching (enough I thought..ugh) about these guys I went ahead and got one. From what I understood they were considered "reef safe" as in they wouldn't harm corals, but couldn't be trusted with other inverts/fish. That was fine with me as I intended this to be "his" tank...

how to get rid of urine smell

Nature's miracle works great. Get the red jug, not the spray bottle and literally saturate the area of carpet so that it penetrates the pad too then let it air dry. It may take a few days to completely dry but when the carpet is fully dried out the odor will be gone for good.

    Live Rock or Bio Balls?

I guess I'm in the minority because I'm a fan of the bio balls. I've used them from the start and have never had any problems with (or from) them.

    Lets See Those Costumes !

I'm halloween"ed" out..... Halloween eve we went trick or treating at Sea World, then two parties and trick or treating on Halloween. No pictures of the boy because he didn't want to get in any of them. A friend did manage to get one shot of him, but I haven't gotten a copy of that picture...

    Fiddler Crabs....

Oh and a concrete confirmation that what I have are fiddlers would also be appreciated. There are two of them...one is red and one is a dark orange/red. Their shells and legs are a completely smooth texture. Their bellies are a deep blue/purple. There eyes are on "stalks" (for lack of the...

    Fiddler Crabs....

I ordered two red mithrax crabs and recieved what I *believe* are actually two red fiddler crabs. They certainly aren't mithrax and after pictures were sent back to where they were ordered from they confirmed that I was correct that they were not mithrax and are apparently resending a correct...

    Corals in an aggressive....

Figured I'd update this post with how my experiment went. Tank has several softies and lps. I moved some livestock around and the current inhabitants are still the clown trigger and the gold striped maroon, although the others were swapped out with my mean yellow tang lol. I also added a few...

I don't know if I agree with that either. One of my tattoo's is across my lower back. My first four births I didn't use an epidural....by choice though (I don't believe in pain medications during labor/birth) ~ my fifth was an emergency c-section. I opted for regional rather than general...

While hunting through the macro tank, there were three of these lonely little guys on a piece of lr rubble at my lfs so the guy gave them to me as a freebie. They are teeny tiny ~ half (if not less) the size of any of the zoa's in my tank. Sorry for the bad picture, but it was kind of hard...
