We didn't know we had several of these until moving some rock around and one fell off the underside--since then they have grown enormously! We never see the whole critter, just the arms, and then only at night. Ours reach out and grab any small bits of flake food--its neat to see how they move...

Just my opinion, but I'm not a fan of epoxy-ing rock together, it seems like it takes several attempts to rearrange, and even then, rearrange again in a few months. Do try to make it stable! Have fun!

keep in mind that when you go into the wall like that, that you lose the ability for guests and such to look into the sides of the tank. I think that front view only is limiting. If I had unlimited funds, (ha) I think I would rather have a luxury base and canopy built.

another thing to consider when allowing rock to touch the glass--you will have a small area around that spot where you can't get your scraper--so you may have a dime or quarter size area that you can't clean well. Just another thought.

we have one rock totally covered in bright orange coralline. Thats the beauty of buying rock in stages, and from numerous places, you get a nice variety of colors.
