Need some help from the pros

Oh sorry I have the Y connector (loc-line?) that came with the tank and one side is right on top of the water for good movement and then the water goes into the back chamber. This tank has been running for over 2 years and I have never had this. I add calcium and strontium and magnesium every...

Need some help from the pros

I have a 24 gallon AP with 2 clownfish, a damsel and many various snails. All is well and numbers are in check but I have a milky appearance on the surface of the water and when it gets on a white paper towel it is brown...? The tank is crystal clear and the live rock is as clean as ever. Does...

Battery operated/plug in LED strips at HI store

Sorry all I know 5 LED's is not much but the main thing I want to know are LED's different or do you just need enough of them to achieve the correct results for what you want to keep. I could fit 2-5 LED strip lights in my AP 24 hood and thats 10 total. I read that an 18" LED unit for reefs has...

Battery operated/plug in LED strips at HI store

Ok I have never experienced any LED lights but am wondering what is the difference in the battery operated 5 LED strips that you can get at a home improvement store for 30 bucks opposed to a high tech 500 buck light made "just for reef tanks". The ones at the HI store come in all lengths and I...

    Beginner Help!!

. All I want to do is get rid of this cursed brown algae and grow coraline. Have I been doing something wrong? LOL, sorry I didnt offer advice for the "main" question I advised on the "un-main" one. You may want to also scrape some of the coralline from a rock in your tank to help it spread.

    24 gal AP help

Hi all, I have a 24 AP and want to get it going with corals. I dont want anything difficult at this time just 'shrooms and zoa's but wow there is hardly anyone close where I live in Alabama to get frags from. No clubs or anything closer than 100 miles. I am familiar with the online options but...

    How to make corals grow?

I wanted to add that I have used the red slime remover with great success but like snake said be very careful if you do use it and go by the directions. Adding anything like that to your system could always be a possible bad outcome if not done correctly.

    Will clown host "fake" anenome?

Yea I know what you mean. I had a pair several years ago in my 180 and you could never find them because they stayed in the top corner all of the time. Luckily this time I have an eager one and she likes to roam. I just thought that it would be comical to put a fake nem in there. I also do know...

    Will clown host "fake" anenome?

This may be a silly question but do you think that a clownfish will host a "fake" anenome? May lighting is not good enough right now to house one and I thought for 5 bucks i may give it a shot.
