If the adapter has a green ground wire on it and you connect it to the screw on the outlet cover it will ground whatever you plug in provided that your electrical box is metal and grounded as well.

With regards to the siphon break i drilled mine just above water level so the siphon breaks immediately. When it is running barely any water comes out of the hole.

Just my 2 cents.. I have heard that CPR overflows are trouble. I bought my 1200 gph over flow from eshopps they have a great selection with good pricing. I bought my 1200 gph overflow for 59.50 including shipping..

Thanks Jester and to all of those who posted. The stand is a custom stand made out of solid wood. No my over flows are just laying in the sump. They are now under water and I enlarged the holes slightly on my standpipes in my dual 1" overflow. I like the idea of covering the overflow box Jester...

The noise is in the sump from the water spilling in. I have a standpipe in my hang on overflow box that make sit very quiet..
