Sea horses...I've heard they are easier now?

Seahorses for the most part require "expert" level of care...I do not believe one should even consider that possibility until they can demonstrate to themselves an extremely stable tank...ideally they should only be kept with their own kind or similar...like pipefish...by no means is it...

    UV Sterilizer

Agreed Tony Detroit...I bought one...didnt notice anything different in water quality and set it aside... There is no contradiction in either of my statements...killing things that could be beneficial to your reef is not implying the UV will kill everything beneficial to your reef... UV's have a...

Get a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) meter...and check the output water for Nitrates and so on... I do not know where the person above got the information about the 100gpd not being good for aquaria...I do not see where there would be a factor in the GPD of a membrane...there are some membranes...

    UV Sterilizer

UV will destroy most organisms coming in contact with it...duration, radiation intensity and so on will determine the ultimate death factor of each type of organism... UV's are not designed (that I am aware of) to completely remove all pathogens and other unwanted organisms from the water...

The inner box should only adjust the level of water within the aquariam...raising and lowering it simply raises and lowers the tanks level. If your setup is resembling what squid has posted...that is all fine... What does the plumbing from the overflow to the sump look like? Often times people...

    R/O DI Equipment?

If you are on a well...I would think you would need a DI canister. You have no idea what elements are introduced into your ground water. Copper being one of them. As for the 100gpd membrane...I have never heard of such a thing concerning that. Volume will not determine the quality of the water...
