I am starting up a 20g Long FOWLR and it measures 30" long and 12" wide. I will have a DIY canopy to cover the tank but was wondering if anyone feels that a 24" PC2x65w Retro fit kit wouldnt be sufficent for spreading the light among the entire tanks surface. THe lights will be about 8"-10"...

Thanks for the reply but I know with the 2x65w and the depth of the tank I will be fine for what I am going to be keeping but I am more concerned with the 6" shy of the covering the entire length of the tank.

I have done this many times before without any trouble...in my 55g over a 2month period I added 30lbs and never lost a living thing. I have about a 1hour drive home from LFS that has good LR or a 20 mintue froma LFS that has crappy looking LR

Is the AquaC remora to much of a skimmer for a 20g Long? Should I get a CPR BakPak? Or does anyone have any other skimmer that would be good for a 20g Long tank? Thanks

IMO, and a number of leaders in the field, it is bettter to add one that is considerably smaller than the original. I have a little screen specimen box(about 5"x4"x4"), that I put the smaller clown into, then just capped it and placed it as close the the BTA as I could so the Bigger one would...

I saw on a different site that they are making a skimmer box for the maxi-jet.

I know I am not wearing gloves but he wont eat out of my hand with them on
