Yeah, just regular vinegar. I also clean my powerheads and pumps once every few months in vinegar water.

Hey Camp ! I'm pretty sure he's Golden, did you see the pic that oceansgarden send -? It should be on page six of the thread. The pics I took this morning was with the lights off. Man, if its Yellow.............I'll go crazy. Take a look at oceangarden pic on page 6. Thanks

I found this:
The "yellow phase" Arothron meleagris is sometimes confused with the Yellow Dogface Puffer, Arothron nigropunctatus. As juveniles, both are dark in color, but the Golden Puffer lacks the distinct mask. Golden Puffers can make for an interesting & beautiful addition to the community. Although not highly aggressive, these fish consume large quantities of meaty foods like squid, muscle, cockle, silversides and shrimp. Keep them with other fishes that can hold their own at feeding time. Another concern is they can get big, so house them in a large glass aquarium with plenty of space. Their pronounced teeth and strong jaws can easily scratch acrylic tanks. Multiple species of pufferfish can be kept together provided they are purchased small and allowed to grow up together.

I'm no expert in puffers but the nose looks a little different than the two pictures I posted. It sort of looks longer, like a dogface puffer. But the eyes definitely look like a golden puffer. Either way, it's a beautiful fish!

Thanks Pete ! So should I make some kind of argument -? Or I don't have a case-?

I wouldn't see why, 99% sure now with the lighted pics that he is indeed a Golden Puffer and not a dogface. His mouth is far too wide (versus the beak of a dogface), and his back is too flat. When elongated, a dogface has a noticeable 'hump' to them. He does have a bit more spots then typical for a Golden, but nothing out of the ordinary. Here's a loaded one; (you can see the similarity in the eyes I mentioned earlier too)

Make a lot of sense Aqua.
I've been googling like crazy. So I'm going with that. Yes indeed, his mouth is very wide, so its GOLDEN ! Not bad for $ 305 shipped by OCEANGARDEN. I recommend them ! Sorry for flaming and going nuts

No worries. Just keep an eye on his detritus (feces) for now. I have seen many of Golden's with internal parasites, though it's usually accompanied with sunken stomachs. Your's looks great, nice and full.

So should I do a water change ever other day, or try and get the 55 gal QT back in order -? Maybe use some Prazipro-?

Has it eaten yet? I recommend feeding it raw shrimp with the shell on, clams, squid and the occasional krill. My golden puffer wouldn't touch silversides, but that's something else you can try. Also, I would definitely hand feed it. With a tank that small you don't want leftover pieces of food on the bottom. Puffers love to be hand fed anyway, I do/did that with all my puffers.
