WELL...it seems I now only have 2 anthias :( The other day I noticed 2 had marks on them....I am pretty sure they are being attacked at night or something....I just found a head of one this morning...no sign of the other....and the 2 remaining actually look great....

who the heck knows......something in this tank does not like them

I only had the orange one day :( It must have not liked the ride LOL......
The monti's I have now are a brownish....in certain light they appear greenish
....
IDK how to ship this stuff either.....I am thinking they are very sensitive
Where did you get the monti from? Here?
Did it come just like any other coral? IIRC when I bought mine, they rubber banded it to a piece of styrifoam so it floated upside down in the bag. Though I bought mine from the LFS. The wife asked them to frag it on the spot.

NO, I didn't get it from here....I got it from my son LOL....so it took 2 days instead of the overnite ...I have a hard time getting stuff here next day unless it is Fed Exp...or UPS....BUT for a private person...that costs a fortune...

That's what I thought. I guess I'll check into shipping a little. It might not be worth it? I would hate for it to not make it once you get it.

Well I am down to 1 anthias :( apparently I have an anthias hater in my tank that beats up on them at night

If this last one makes it (which I highly doubt) I will have one....If not....I will not try again :( I guess I am just not meant to have anthias in my tank.
I would love to have something with that coloring though.....any ideas????

When you say and anthias hater, do you mean you don't know what is causing the deaths. I feel dumb for asking that.
LOL...Yes...I have no clue...WHO...is doing this. During the day they seem fine....and the next day either dead, or you can tell battered...

And then there were none

I give up....the anthias are too expensive for this ....I have lost 10
in the last few months....something in my tank does not want them in there

I have no idea. I looked and this is all the help I can be. Sorry.
Although anthias will not harm invertebrates, these fish may fall prey to the Elephant Ear Anemone (Amplexidiscus fenestrafer), carpet anemones (Stichodactyla spp.), Corkscrew-Tentacled anemone (Macrodactyla doreensis), large Elegance Coral, large crabs and piscivorous mantis shrimp.
