I just found that thread striking and caught my attention, because in 1 of our conversations, we had talked about an individual who's tank was awesome and did major changes, but made it appear that the LEDs were kind of the downfall of the system. We both had concluded that there were to many drastic changes to actually conclude it was the LEDs not performing.....
That tank is very nice!!!!! Sometimes I do wonder if it isn't something the camera isn't picking up??? Maybe would see a different view actually seeing it as well????
No doubt, I'm sure it's not a true representation to what we see from pics. Just looked like he was lacking in some of those colors via types of corals that he had for my taste. But certainly I think from what I'm hearing with the addition of just a handful of neutrals or reds can really bring out the "pop" in those particular colors. I really need to get out to one of the big conventions one of these days to see some more of the different types of fixtures in action.

I have to say, this is a very nice build. Cant wait to see it up and running.
Looking thru your pics, I fell in love with this. lol Thinking it would make a nice nano tank. Drilled in the back for a cansiter filter and chiller. hahaha
My husband would kill me though for even thinkng about another tank lol
Thanks, Teresa. I know I can't wait to see this thing up and running either. It feels like it's been forever since I started re building it. Yeah that little 15g tank was my first attempt at an acrylic tank and it's going to be my reservoir tank for the ATO sytem. I said the same thing though when I got done with it is that I'm going to have to make another one. The wife has been talking about a sea horse tank for the last couple of years now. Maybe once this build is done I'll finally be able to give her one. I'll probably be hitting you guys up with tons of questions lol.

Yeah I was just browsing the classifieds the other night......Actually I think it does have to do with your post count....I was trying to show my buddy Jerry something in the classifieds, and when he went into the little directory deal, it wouldn't even show the classified section when he was logged in....I thought it was weird as well, but then I read a post about that over there.....

Wow, I saved so many helpful pictures. Amazing build
Thanks. Hope they help!
Update:
I'm getting anxious to get this thing in the house soon. Got a little bit of work done this weekend but not a ton. I did manage to finish the second canopy door up and got it mounted up. I'm just about ready for clear coating this thing. Only a little more finish staining to do on the back and top of both stand and canopy.

And the door opens back up the way I origionaly had it which I like better.

You might have noticed that I have water in the system. That's right,..."water in the system". But don't get to excited because it's not there to stay. :( Sorry.
I never did get a chance to leak test the tank after I re-sealed it. So it's been eating at me in the back of my mind for a while to see it with water in it before I go any further with the build. Because if I need a new tank, then I need to know. 2 nights now and so far so good! (knock on wood).
Very happy with the sump. Right not it's just mocked up with a small pump. Still need to order the real return pump. I do have some spa flex that I will be running for the permanent return line.

Scrubber's looking nice. Just awaiting lighting and a permanent pump.

Overflows turned out perfect. I cut the teeth so that the bottom of the plastic trim on the tank was level with the bottom of the teeth on the overflows. I have a bout a 1/4" water rise for now. We'll see how that changes with a bigger pump.

Definitely need a stronger pump...
