3 gallon Pico Diary

Just ordered a 3 gallon picotope and it should be here in about a week!

Until then I will be getting everything else together
Equipment plans:
-Aquaclear 70 mod into fuge
-Heater (from old 10 gallon)
-36 watt T5 fixture (also from old 10 gallon)
-DIY Auto top off
-Included filter running carbon
Livestock:
-Live rock form an existing tank
-Tahitian Moon sand ( I really like the look of black sand)
-Mostly palys, zoes, mushrooms and my four mini nems
-Either sexy shrimp or a porcelain crab
(man I wish I could have a fish in it, but its WAY to small)

So what do you guys think so far, am I missing anything?

As long as you don;t plan on sps.....they will be fine....they have a tendency of sitting on sps, and somehow they kill them....I learned that the hard way
you didn't list sps in your list up there :)

Just got an email from the site I bought the tank from and was told that the item is now on backorder until the 31st!
I was also told that I cant cancel my order, so I just have to wait!

I was so excited to get started too

Im currently e-mailing them, and I will be calling them in the morning, I just cant wait that long

Finally got ahold of someone and canceled it no problem, Im not sure why I was originally told I couldn't

On top of that, I found one locally and am going to pick it up tomorrow

So it ended up working out better than hoped!

So, I have a heater already, but I was just looking around and was wondering if those flat mini heaters are any good

The idea of a flat heater is tempting, but if it isn't going to work right I don't want to risk using it

No, I didnt have to ship it overnight

I found one being sold by a local reefer
