Where do you buy these fish? I looked online and couldn't find any place that sells them. I see anglers and lions at the LFS, but nothing as exotic as the ones you have.

We get the majority of them from the LFS. The rest we bought WYSIWYG online. Sometimes you can almost walk past them at the LFS because they are pale and hunkered down in the corner or in the sand. There is also a lot of LFSs in the area. For one day of work we visit somewhere around 10 and there are a whole lot more we don't have accounts with.

I'd love to get some of these. Right now I have a 65gal with just a Fuzzy Dwarf in it. My plan is to add a painted angler, I'm just waiting for one that has colors I like. But I'll keep an eye out for some of these scorpions, waspfish and stonefish too.

A full grown painted would make me nervous around a fuzzy, in all honesty. Anglers make me nervous around just about everything.
Half the fun is finding THEE specimen. We have a handful more me are looking out for.

Yea, plus I read that anglers don't stay the same color as when you buy them. So maybe I'll skip that and look for other interesting fish.

There are SO many cool fish that could go with a fuzzy. I can't wait to see what you end up getting.

I've heard talk of a Scorpionfish/Lionfish book coming out late this year, early next, by Frank Marini. Y'all interested in these little cuties should keep a lookout for it. I know it'll be on my coffee table.

I would love a fuzzy, but it would eat everything in my tank, and my hubby says no more tanks.
your fish are beautiful.

When you get all these critters in the same tank, I would love a video of feeding time.
That's gonna be some trick.

As many years as I've been in this hobby, Scorpionfish have always held a special place in my heart. They are absolutely amazing fish and many different species can be housed together, with no ill effects.
I have to say, though...I'm very, very impressed with you, being able to keep an Ambon alive. I'm not sure how long you've had it, etc. but they never, ever have a decent lifespan, in captivity. When I say that, I mean I've seen 50+ different specimens that have never lasted more than 2 weeks. Whether it be to not eating, etc. I've never seen them last.

ACK! I really like that ambon. I've had him a little over 4 months..... I hope to have him many more!
Soooooo.... what do you know about all these guys! Sounds like you may have some experiences to share.
I'm really excited about everyone's interest in these guys. The more people keep them, the more we can share and learn together. And if peeps start to keep them, then maybe the shops will get more in too! The local shops know what we are presently looking for and call us if they get stuff in for us to go look at.
