I was thinking about a 110 gallon tank. Of course I will do stuffs differently this time around. New retrofit lighting which would save me a ton. Get another overflow box and do my own sump/fuge system. I spent like only $2000 on this tank because I shop for better deals around. I do all my research first and find the best deals before making a purchase. If I had gone out and purchase everything at the shop, it would of cost me over $4-5000 for everything or more.... I'll be doing more research for the new tank. :happyfish

dont worry.. im doin a waterchange tomorrow... when i added the perculas, i watched the ammonia.. it never went up.. i added a scooter blenny, and a cleaner wrasse... and still no raise in the levels, thats when the nitrates went down to 2.5ppm..
I LOVE my baby clown fish. They both eat like pigs!!! I was kinda worried last night when he just eats and eats until both of their belly was bulging. Their bellies were HUGE!!! Especially the bigger of the two clowns. I'm not sure because it's trying to grow bigger right now or what. They've bonded to each other so I know one is gonna turn into a female sometime soon and grow much bigger then the other one, I wonder if that's the reason why it eats so much? :happyfish

That is good amount of savings..... that is what I plan to do.... I tried to start a thread on peoples dream tanks if they had 10,000 dollars...... but no one replied to it!!! I started it to get some ideas on what to do, and what kind of set up I wanted to go with!

That would be my guess...... But my clowns are both pigs.... I think it is just a clown trait! But they will grow at diffrent rates, and the bigger will be the female......
I don't envy the clowns, cause if a girl was taller than me I couldnt be with her..... I am 6'2". I am :scared: of tall women.... I know it is odd!!!!!

$10k wouldnt do my dream tank.. mine would be a basement lagoon with a huge wave maker, and about 20 yards off the sandy beach that is in the basement would be one hell of a reef!
oh yea.. and dont forget the scuba gear so u can explore!

haha my clowns are still picky.. they look at every little brine shrimp, flake, and pellet to make sure they are up to their expectations.... they will go after a brine, look at it, not bite it, then grab the next one coming.. i have picky clowns.. the cleaner wrasse tears up the big flakes.. prolly makes him feel tough! lol.. the blenny i dont see him eat.. but i do see him suck stuff off the bed and spit stuff into the water, like a filter or something...

Here's a break down of what I've spent:
$200 on tank with stand and sand
Around $300 on rocks
$165 for skimmer
$723 for lighting
$40 for glass tops that I use at night because of my hairy dog
$300 for all my corals
$100 on powerheads
$40 on a new heater
$50 on timers
$30 on new power surge outlets
Comes right around $2000
Not gonna price my fish..... :happyfish

Well not that dream tank.... Cause my DREAM tank is a room/tank in the middle of my house that is compleatly glass top bottom and sides, so you can see it from any where you are in the house.
But what I was looking for was a tank that you could get with 10,000 dollars! Dream to some!!

My clowns were picky at first. I was actually afraid of losing the first one. I bought two at first at the frag swap back in Jan. I lost one the very next morning. Had no idea where it went. I really think it died in my tank and the hermits and other critters ate it. The one that was left, we named it Nemo, he wouldn't eat for a week until we fed it cyclop-eeze, the frozen bar stuff. He started eating then, after awhile later, he would eat the formula two and all the other foods I offer. Then the guy replaced a second one for me a couple weeks ago when my friend went to pick it up for me, it's over 4 hours away and she was there anyway so she picked it up for me. It lived through the second day and didn't look good at first, but after a few days later. He started looking great, they were kissing the very first night Bozo (the new one) was put in. Now they sleep together....Back to his (her?) normal coloring. Bozo is the bigger one of the two and I think it's gonna be the female of the two and a name change would be proper (Bozette). :happyfish

Yea I know....I'm afraid to add up the cost for a new tank..... It would take me many months to build one up like I did with this one. I buy stuffs here and there when building this tank. Took me about 6 months after I bought the tanks to start purchasing stuffs and it took me another 6 months to get the rest of the stuffs. But once I get everything paid off, my credit cards and furniture by this summer, I'll be debt free. I have nothing else to spent on but the tanks...hehe

I wish I had it like that.... I have too many bills! Yeah it is a slow process..... to build it up!!!! I am doing it slowly with this tank! But I am starting to see the progress with it! I am excited.... it is worth while!

VERY NICE!!! After looking at my tank today, I've noticed I've been feeding wayyy too much lately. Had to do so since I just got those baby clowns, since they're eating now, I can cut down the feeding again. I have to wait til tomorrow now to set my sump/fuge up, my partner will be home early tomorrow night to help me with it. Another thing I've noticed is my plate coral is growing wayyyyyy too big for my tank. I really need to be looking for a larger tank soon so I can move everyone in there. It would be a nice center piece in a large tank for the size it's at right now. Same with the Blue Millipora, Pink Tip Hammer, and the Pink Tip Frogspawn, all growing wayyy too big for my tank now. They would definatelly look nice in a bigger tank. I can't wait til this summer so I can buy the darn tank..... :happyfish
