Aquascaping...Confused...please help?

IMO, you have enough LR. Many hobbyists get too much LR and then end up with a tank with a lot of live rock, and some corals. Rather, you want a reef tank upon which corals will be cultivated with plenty of room to grow. If you go diving at a reef, are looking at the live rock, or the reef?

I too like the scape in the first pictures. As you add corals they normally come on rocks and such which will add to the overall. Yes please lose the background, looks tacky IMO. You are gonna love your lights. Rock looks a little bare right now but with time some of that coralline will start to take off.

Thank you! it took a lot of time...and aquamend...but I think I like it for the time being...when I finally have my own house and a bigger tank
I will for sure do that! But for now...I don't think I'll have any "digging, or sand burrowing" fish!!

I had 3 seperate islands but I had a flat piece and a few other pieces, so I though what the heck! I'll just make this these two islands two!

Very Nice! Think you're going to really like the island effect when you start getting good coral growth and the fish are swimming around and through the islands its pretty cool! Nice job.

Thank you!! I like this MUCH better!!! The only thing I don't like is in a few places you are able to see some of the aquamend where I put the pieces together to ensure stability....Will coraline algae cover that up with time?

Thank you!! I like this MUCH better!!! The only thing I don't like is in a few places you are able to see some of the aquamend where I put the pieces together to ensure stability....Will coraline algae cover that up with time?

Yep, once the coralline begins to grow it will encrust and cover all the sort of stuff and you won't even be able to tell it was there.
