Well, I know it's not a hammer, as there was one right next to it at the store. And Galaxea doesn't sound familiar, but maybe. Anyone else have an opinion on that one coral?
I also agree about the shrooms, they were the most expensive shrooms in the tank, BUT you can see why I couldn't pass them up.

Torch! That's it, thanks!
The shrooms were not that bad, I don't think, they were $35. I shouldn't had said the most expensive, because there were larger frags that were more, but they were more than the brown shrooms I saw, which I thought were a little boring. Out of the frags that size they were the most, that's a better way of putting it.

Looks great! I'm going to be buying my first corals this week. I tried to buy some zoos last night but he wanted $70 for the rock and they were just regular green zoos! crazy.

Very nice
I like the color of the shrooms really cool shade of red. Your torch coral LOVES the light, the closer it is the more it will open. Mine was on the bottom of my tank and I moved it to the top, within an hour it was twice the size and the tenticles were really really fat too. He loves it up there, i dont know if its there already just thought I would pass on the info.

Thanks for the tip. Luckily he's at the top, and he seems to be doing good.

I've been trying to work on it, but my camera is just not taking good full tank shots.
It's either to dark, or it's blury. I'm trying to get my friend, who's a professional photographer to take a few shots, so I will post them as soon as I get some decent ones to show.
Stay tuned though, I have some other shots coming........

OK, these are not the best shots in the world, but I thought I would share the newest fish in my QT and then one side shot of the tank with all five of my fish (minus the Royal Gramma in the QT). Note: The Royal Gramms is not orange but yellow, just bad lighting in the picture.

OK, now these shots turned out nice and I had to share. The first one with my Frogspawn fully open.
(It actually looks more green than what this picture shows.)

And then here is one of my Emerald Crabs finding some snacks on the new rock. I watched him closely to make sure he wasn't pulling on the shrooms and he didn't. Would lift one up though to get what was underneath it.

OK, so I thought my shrooms were fully open before. Well, I guess I was wrong because this is what I saw when I just walked by my tank.

I LOVE MY REEF TANK!!!!

Where you going to get those zoos? Certainly hope not at the Ocean Floor...

I know you were asking Azaintcold, but I personally don't go there. I get most of my stuff from Aquarium Arts. They have treated me really good and are always giving me great deals because I've spend so much money in that store.

OK, this is the best I could do along with some side shots that look better than my full tank shot. For some reason my full tank shots either come out to bright and you can't see what's what, or it's to dark. I guess I could have photo shoped it, but didn't want to take the time.
Ten minutes after taking this picture I moved my torch over to the left of the branch rock.

Don't know if you can tell, but my clowns have grown a bit since I got them.

OK, I thought I would go ahead and show you this shot. It's on the bright side, but you can still make some things out better than the previous picture. My actual lighting is between the dark and light full tank shots.
One of these days I'll own a camera that actually does it justice.

Never heard of them, where is this place located?

You have to go then....they have a 300 gallon tank that's just awesome!!!! I've probably spent well over a $1,000 in that store.
They are on Baseline, just east of Dobson. They have a great selection of fish and corals and like I said, it's fun just to stand in front of that 300 gallon tank and drool. I'm also been to Martin Tropical Fish and About the Reef, but Aquarium Arts is the one I always go back to. They have really treated me well there.

Hey azfishgal how much live sand did you put into your 125 gallon tank and is it DSB or shollow because I'm getting a 125 gallon tank too and starting to do some simple mix reef tank. I just want to know how much do I need when I get my tank set up.
Thanx
Jay

Hi
, I have 100 lbs of sand, that includes what I have in the refuge. I started off with 80 lbs. of dry sand (rinse it out first) and then I put 20 lbs of live sand on top. My refuge has about a 3" sand base and my DT is about 2" at the most, other areas are 1" depending on the phs and my Goby moving things around.
I think it needs to be 4" to be considered a deep sand base. Some people say I need more, some say less. I have what I have and I'm not about to change it now. I used the sand calculator on this site: https://www.saltwaterfish.com/site_11...ory=0&x=5&y=14
It said I need 105 lbs for a 2" sand base so I did 100 lbs and with me also putting sand in my refuge I figured I would be ok. Most "experts" say to go with under a 2" base or over a 4" base, in between can get you in trouble, so I've been told. Maybe my refuge is in trouble, I guess time will tell.
How's that for an answer.
