Then I think it's safe to say it's a molt.
It doesn't smell at all, so that's probably another clue. I'll have to search around and see if I can find the little guy, though I know he's probably hiding until his shell hardens up. That would have been something to see though.

They are doing well, but the GSP is still not opening up like it was in the beginning. I moved it up off the sand though, so the Goby would stop covering it. So maybe in a few days it will start opening up again. My zoos are all showing new growth so I'm very happy about that.
I'll try and get some new pics, including full tank shot later this evening.

I think they are great, if you are not sure what you want right away. I wasn't, and after seeing all the prices and choices I went ahead and just paid $45 each for the lights I have now so I had something, but it wouldn't be a big deal when I replaced them, because I didn't fork over to much money for them. So far, coraline is growing great, zoos and GSP are growing, so they will do until I'm able to get better lighting. They are perfect for someone who just doesn't have the money to spend on good lights, but still wants to start a reef tank.
I would not recomend these lights for long term, but in a pinch, they work just fine. I have no complaints about them.

(I'm really sad some of my favorite smilies are gone.
)
NO MORE HAULING WATER!!!!! This was my mother's day gift to myself.
I'll have to just use it on my kitchen counter when I need more water for now, until my hubby can hook it up to the water heater line in the garage. Right now I'm more interested in him finishing the canopy (or even just getting started with it).

The Goby is out more and sometimes making a mess of the tank water. I noticed earlier there was a lot of stuff floating around and as I looked closer the Goby was going to town under one of the caves making himself another den.

This was just a cool shot and had to share.

Zoos are doing great and I'm seeing new growth on all three.

I actually had to move this one, as it came unglued and was at the bottom of my tank. I got scared thinking one of my emerald crabs got to it, but it was face down in the sand instead.

I had to glue a few polyps of this one directly to my rock as they had come off the small rock it was shipped with. Was a little unsteady there for a while, but it has firmly attached itself now.

This unit has a DI unit that came with it so I'm all set up.

And on an even happier note, my father-in-law is coming to visit this weekend SOOOOOO I get my doors for my stand.
I also get the doors for my canopy, BUT that has yet to be built. At least I know when the canopy does get built I'll already have doors for it.

Great Mother's Day gift! My boyfriend gave me an RO unit for Christmas (yes, he is quite the romantic
) along with a promise to install it for me. I even had an RO conduit put in when I built the house to make installation easy. It's the middle of May and it's still in the box
. I hope yours takes less than 5 months to be installed!
I'm currently cycling a 6 gallon nano that I'm making into a softies tank, so I'll be moving 'shrooms and zoos from the other tank. I plan to practice some fragging in the process, so I'll give you a holler if it's successful (I haven't forgotten that I promised you an orange ric!).

That RO unit has put me through a lot of stress. I have heard only good things about it but I think I got the one defective one. Hopefully I'll be able to get a new one though.

AZReefgirl, that would be so cool to get a frag from you. Thanks! When my corals grow enough to frag I'll certainly return the favor.

Kevin, I also hope you just got a bad apple, as I would hate for mine to turn out that way. I'll let you know how it goes, I'm starting her up this afternoon as I'm out of water.
OK, just dumped $200 at the lfs!
I brought home a Royal Gramma, Frogspawn, mushroom, and another coral that looks a little like Frogspawn but not.
Can't remember what the girl at the lfs called it, but I'll get pics up soon and you all can tell me what I have. I did noticed in the bag with my frogspawn there were these little spider like things in the bag. They have a clear like body with long legs and they are definitely moving. Any ideas what they are. I was going to stick them in my DT as soon as they temp acclimate, but now I'm a little scared to. I may put them in my QT with the Royal Gramma until I know everything has crawled off them.
Also, when I tested the water that my Royal Gramma was in (from the lfs) the salinity was 1.016!!!
So now I'm trying to lower the salinity in my QT (1.025) so the acclimation won't take as long.
I haven't tested the water that the corals are in, but will when I open the bags. They were in a totally seperate tank.

First lets see another picture of "Sandy" because she's so cute!

Name this coral? I know I'll remember as soon as someone tells me, but it escapes me at the moment. (It's a Torch!)

Frogspawn (at least that's what I was told). It took some doing to get it in this spot, so he's not very happy with me at the moment.

And here are my mushrooms, pretty nice color I think.

P.S. The Royal Gramma is not wanting pictures at the moment, so that will come later.

I would say that coral is either a galaxea or a hammer coral. Someone correct me if Im wrong. Those shrooms are awsome!
