Hi 5 ! Why anyone would want to be a liberal puke is hard to understand.
They pander to the underprivleged to get their vote. They are promised a better life. They get the vote and what happens ? The next election, it's the same thing. "We promise you a better life".
What's the problem with that scenario ?
If you guessed, they never get it, you are right.
So keep voting democRat. Throwing your vote away for failed promises.

Maybe, but I feel the war is unnecessary and the guys there could have spent their time doing better things.
Of course nobody really knows for sure whether the war was necessary or not the government keeps us in the dark about things.
On another note, how are the powerheads working our for you?

war is and will allways be innevitable. war will allways be here so long as we're here to bring it. Look at the revolutionary war... there's a good chance you wouldn't be here if those guys hadn't fought..

show of force is neccesary somtimes and when we are being terrorized by different groups it is neccesary to have a show of force. I understand that america is founded on freedom and you should have the right to say yes or no to military service but think of this sometimes that freedom must be protected by americans to maintain this freedom for the rest of america to make a sacraifice of 4 yrs to your country isn't alot to me considering how long you have to live and what you are doing for others that can't or just won't. Oh yeah vietnam can not be compared to this war where we lost around 30,000 americans.

Maybe Iraq isn't the best place we should be at.. but i'll sleep better knowing we at least looked for possible weapons of mass destruction.. Since we're allready at war.. why not support your country after all for 230 some odd years they've(military) kept us safe.. i think that should be enough to serve time

Not wanting to go off on a tangent, but all of those are communist in name only. I'd argue that there has NEVER been a communist nation, just as their has NEVER been a true democracy.

Daniel I would agree with you. In the US what we understand to be democracy is really only a subset of true democratic rule. By defininition, there has never been a communist or democratic society.
Now let everyone ponder that thought for a while and before you argue otherwise get out your dictionaries and encyclopedias and look up what democratic and communist rule really is. The answers may surprise you. :scared:

Who was it that recently said, "It's not an Army that I'm worried about, it's that once crazy SOB with a nuclear weapon."

I'm not trying to pick apart the definition of communism because I really don't care. Someone made a comment that there were almost no communist countires left so I made that post. While these countries may not fall under the Webster's definition of communism, that is what they are considered. Just as we are still considered to be a democracy. Now, if either systems are in their pure form is another debate all together. A debate I don't have time for because I have to go do something important like walk my dog or do a search for medusa worms.

no wonder other countries hate americans, bunch of spoiled take everything for granted rich a holes. do you think ppl in iraq can have a reef tank? hell the way we live now is because of many men dying for our freedom but now we live in a society where people say war is wrong, we shouldnt be doing this, we shouldnt be doing that. how can they being trying to add the draft again? hmm i wonder why. freedom isnt free, your own right to post what you feel on this MB isnt free i love our country and i believe in it. you dont like here in america? get the hell out and stop taking advantage of all the true heros that died for our way of life. God Bless America and GOd bless anyone that serves this great nation with keeping a security blanket over the world.

Just to start some trouble.....the truth is that our founding fathers didn't want to pay taxes, so instead of fighting they stole the freedom of a bunch of slaves and ran away to steal this country from the rightful owners. They were drug abusing, slave keeping, women beating crap.......that's who founded the United States. That's OK, that was then, this is now, but it's strange to honor people like that.
BTW, most countries don't hate Americans, they hate our government....but they fight to live with us as a people. America was founded on crap worse than Saddam......atleast they had jobs instead of picking cotton for free, and how is internal fighting there any different from the civil war here that people still dress up and re-enact calling plenty of them heros?
People are suffering everywhere..... the war is about money, and I think most of those fighting over there right now know it, or are in denial to justify to themselves what they must do.
I think some people just like to, or need to, believe in something good......whether it's there are not.

Sammy- Well said. The truth about our "founding fathers" is the Indians got bent over along with the slaves. No I am not an Indian and no I am not black, but I realize they got bent over bad.
Krowlee-when any Iraqii is ready to work like I do then they can have a reef tank too.

i wasnt talking about slavery/civil war. this country came a long ways since slavery/civil war. Our culture is differant than any other culture, i guess thats why we are spoiled. to me its more strange for people to look at our own country and say how bad they got it, or how crooked we are. Your lucky your not speaking German right now, yes there is alot of politics to goverment, but fact is this is the best we can do as human beings. Having such freedom is a double edged sword. While you can sit there and talk how bad you got it, or how terrible our country is, ill support our boys over seas. And Tony im willing to bet most iraqis work as or more hard that you could even imagine.
