Same here - no matter where I am or what I'm doing I log onto this site just to check on you guys. Today I am home acclimating three new horses that just arrived via Fed Ex and all I can think about is you and Bigun. And I gotta tell ya - I am so paranoid and am examining these guys through a magnifying glass checking for any signs of problems. This journey of yours has certainly touched us all.

Sue,
I wish you all the luck with your horses....I keep looking at Skinny over and over too...kinda takes the enjoyment out of having them...But hopefully all of this will pass, hopefully BIGUN will recover (or decide to let go), and hopefully I can go on w/o being a paranoid hobbyist

It does look like something is eating at his tail IMO.

Well not too much to report...BIGUN just got his tube feeding. He is back in his qt.after w/c and new meds
He was laying on bottom when I got home today...after feeding he tried to swim....he did not do too well, although he is up slightly on his little bridge. I will let him rest, and place him on his castle later if he does not do it himself....
OHHHH...I did forget to mention that his eye seems LESS swollen, but still not right

Maybe you can hold him upright and guide him for a swim. Might do him well to have the water flowing by his gills(if they have them
, dont know ne thing about sea horses)

Their gills are enclosed. The area of skin enclosing the gills is called the operculum. They is more or less what one might refer to as the seahorse's "cheeks"; the part that inflates and deflates with breathing, with a single hole at the top of each.
With enclosed gills, I don't know that moving him through the water is going to do a heck of a lot more than what he is doing himself by huffing and puffing. If he were to stop breathing, I suppose the best method of artificial respiration (for revival purposes only; say, in a case of not awaking after anesthetic), would be to "blow" water at/into his snout via a syringe or eyedropper type device.

This is something I was never hoping to say...BIGUN has given up the fight....About 30 minutes ago, I took him out to feed him...I knew right away something was different about him....I held him in my hand in the feeding bowl carressing him as he took his last breaths. I only hope I was comforting him....RIP BIGUN.....
