LOL...When we first moved here there were about 15 dogs...remember now...my closest neighbor is over a mile away...so they belonged to nobody..they were disgusting...chows, shepherds, mixes...skin, bones and mange...well apparently the people before us was dropping off trash in the road for them
nothing but junk though...well I hate to say this...my husband sat on the roof each night, and within a week...well they were put out of their misery....
And I was getting scolded for joking with you about cats....

I hope you find your kitty! I have an outdoor cat too (and 4 in the house
). We "adopted" a stray, got him fixed and all his shots-but he will NOT stay in the house.

Maybe the cat's tail got caught in the belts and threw it off the track. The cat's probably hiding somewhere with a broken tail

Could not be further from the truth. I could have said that a dog is too stupid to find a warm spot, it would just freeze to death, see now you forced me to be mean to an animal.

GUESS WHAT!!!!!....SHE'S ALIVE>>>YAYYYYY
Last night after I turned everything out...I went out one more time to call...and I saw her...uhhh..under my car....well I brought out more food, she wouldn't come out...after I went in I sat by the window to watch...she very slowly came to the porch...I was never able to get a good look at her, but it looks like all parts ARE THERE..Tail at top may have looked a little weird though...She will not come out from hiding when anyone is around
I tried again this morning, but have to get ready for work....running late as usual...HAHA
BUT DID I mention SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!

Everytime I saw this thread come to the top I would click on it just waiting to see these wonderful words...SHE"S ALIVE!!! I am sooo happy she is okay. Sounds like she had a bad scare and it will take time for her to get over it.
I know your doing the happy dance!

Thank you...I have been feeling pretty guilty...although I know I didn't put her there....BUT after having her for so long...distant as she may be...I didn't realize I'd be so upset if something happened to her....

Stray cats are a sad thing, their lives are so hard. People like you make that life tolerable, giving her a source of food is such a kindness.
On her behalf, thank you. You have nothing to feel guilty about. Engines are warm places that are unsafe, now the kitty knows and you may have saved her life down the road. All is well.

The funny thing is she is not a stray...(well anymore)...we found her over 8 years ago as a baby....So for 8 years + she has been my cat...only an outside cat cause of her mental issues..
