Thanks guys....
I would be scared to try to trap her...then she may never come to me...I'm going to wait and see if she will come up to the porch on her own with me there....Like I said before ...she is a strange cat..

I think thats wise. Trapping her may only make her hurt worse. Just be patient and make sure she has what she needs.

The funny thing is she is not a stray...(well anymore)...we found her over 8 years ago as a baby....So for 8 years + she has been my cat...only an outside cat cause of her mental issues..

Ahh, so you are one of those people that cause us dog owners to have to deal with animal control for a barking dog because your stupid cat wont come inside, and decides to sit on my wall out of reach of the dog but in it's territory.

I didn't see her yesterday, but my husband did...he said she was walking weird on hre back legs
..and she went into the woods...I just have to wait it out I guess...If she is hurt bad, I want to take her to the vet and help her, but if I can't get to her...I can't do that..

SORRY DARTH...You are wrong on that...I love all animals, and being in the country I have NO neighbors with barking dogs...If I lived in a neighborhood, my cat would not be out, as I would hope your dog would not be barking by my bedroom window

I know you would hate to trap her but if she is hurt then getting her to the vet may be the best option. You could put a can of sardines in a trap so she at least gets a good treat. I had an experience with a cat in a vending machine that was hit by a car. The whole back half of the cat was rotting but the cat was still alive. It was one of the most disturbing things I have seen. The trap my make her a bit mad but it might save her from severe infections. Good luck!

WOW...I never thought of that (the infection part)..I was thinking she could be maimed or something, I am off on Fridays, so if I do not get to her tonight, I will try to figure out a way to entice her to come to me....
She was very standoffish before this, but I will do my best...

WELL It's official...I got my cat to where I could pet her....her tail on the underside is missing a pretty good size chunk
..Well I tried to pick her up..(.we were about 1/10 of a mile down the driveway so I had no towel or anything for protection)...and the claws came out quick....so I had no choice but to put her down...I could not tell if it was infected or just raw looking...Since I got her to come to me in the driveway, I am going to sit on the porch (with a towel) and see if I can get her to come to me again...if need be, I will put her in a spare room tonight, and crate her in the a.m. and take her to the dr.....
I just need to be able to see close up

If it is just her tail she probably will heal on her own. There is not much to the tail. Good luck, and let us know what happens.
