Al it's a convenience feature. Don't need to point it at a light source to be able to read it.
Pics are looking better Meow. One tip that I've heard when taking pics of our tanks is to have the camera mounted on a tripod. It will cut down on the fuzzy pics. Alot of the really sharp pics that we see in some of these photo contenst 9 times out of ten are probably shot using a tripod and a macro lense with the flash off.

Not bad, not bad. Cute kids! What mode are you using for the close ups of the tank?
On the little dial there is a flower....I used that....it's supposed to be for close ups
I took a bunch of pics using these modes.....P, TV, AV, M and A-DEP.......I have no clue what they are...and most did not turn out well

There is a rectangle that is called "full auto mode" I used that a lot too....cause it is supposed to be...FULLY AUTO LOL
LOL...Zachary needed a washcloth.....we went to my daughters to bring Jaicey (the older girl) her b'day gifts from last week......so I did some practicing

OH YEAH.....sometimes the camera does beeps...or flashes lights and takes no pic.....I have not figured that out yet....WHY

Great pictures meowzer, what a difference, you are going to be an expert before you know it, I assume that is the new Maxima. Cute kids too.

The little flower icon is macro mode. And if you haven't figured it out yet the little lever deal on the side of the dial is to zoom in and out. You'll have to pull out your manual for discriptions on the rest lol.
