Casey Anthony Jury Has Reached A Verdict

I didn't follow this very close because it made me sick. Isn't she still going to be in jail for awhile for hindering an investigation? Obviously that is a slap on the wrist but I would hope she won't be back out on the street for some time. Also didn't her mother (grandma) call the police and report the child missing? How did they ever explain how she had duct tape on her mouth if it was an accident? When she does get out of jail......she better change her looks and hide cause her life will be a living he$$ and eventually someone will get her.

She was found guilty on 4 counts of giving false info to law enforcement. Max sentence is one year for each count. If she is given a consecutive sentence, she will get another year in the local jail, minus time off for good behavior. It is very likely she will instead be sentenced for time served (3 years already) and a concurrent sentence which means she has already served out her sentence and then some. Let free Thurs.
OJ lived high on the hog until he got in trouble again. This girl is a sociopath. She will get a made for TV deal, book deal, etc. I doubt if she will be going back to live with mommy and daddy.

Florida needs to file a claim against Anthony for the cost of the investigation, search and trial. The woman admits to have lied, was convicted of lying so they should be able to prevent her from profiting from the affair.

lol, I love it when stuff goes bass ackwards from conventional wisdom... And I'm sorry, because she loved to party isn't a good motive.

I wonder how much money was spent on this case? Hasn't it been going on for over 3 years?!

If I was her mother I'd be nervous. They have her dead to rights for perjury. This mess might not be over.

If you read a transcript of the judges instructions, it's no wonder why they acquitted her. He said the prosecution must provide enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she committed the crime. Sounds great, right? But then he went on to describe the type of evidence that would "lead one to convict someone of murder". That's where he listed all kinds of examples of physical evidence-none of which the cops had. So the judge nullified the evidence that the prosecution had by listing evidence "needed" that they didn't have.

From Fox,
"Likely to be a free woman in a matter of days, Casey Anthony to face a deluge of offers from tabloids and TV networks eager to pay millions for her story."

The lead prosecutor has announced that he is retiring. The SAO won't be filing perjury against either Mr or Mrs Anthony, even though both lied. Their lies were a contributing factor in the outcome of this case.

Casey goes home and sees her dad and will be like "dad all that talk about the molesting and what not was nothing personal". I wouldn't want her back in my house.

What was the Dad found to have lied about? The affair? They better have something better than that freakshow who made the accusation.

I wonder why her mother changed her tune? she is the one who actually started all this when she called the cops and said the kid was missing...and then that she smelled a dead body in her daughters car....

Some people do weird things where their kids are concerned. I'd like to think I'd throw my kid under the bus if he did something like this but I guess you never know until you are in that situation.

Down here, some grandma took her grandkid into the ER because he was a little bruised on the hiney. The mom, ended up getting jail time for spanking the kid...
