Haven't posted in like a month.... so nice tank! Did you get rid of the 28g or do you still have it?
Still have it. The live stock is still in the 28 gallon. When this 180 is going to be ready for livestock I'm going to put everything from the 28 gallon into this 180.

How much rock do you estimate you are going to have to buy when figuring in the fact that you are going to use the rock from other tanks? How much base rock, how much live rock. How much sand, how much live sand, what kind of sand, etc etc etc...

I'm going to use about 100-130 lb of rock total. Not sure how much base, but probably going to be mainly live rock hopefully. I'm going to get 90 lb of dry sand and 30 lb of live sand from my 28 gallon making it a total of 120 lb of sand which makes 2 inches. The dry sand that I'm going to get is grey/white in color but looks very nice and natural IMO.

60 long x 25.5 wide x 27 high. I wont say how much it cost me for everything but brand new this exact tank with stand and canopy costs $3,350.
Yeah, can't wait till I can put livestock in!

you know what would be pretty sweet? if you can get an electrical outlet to be placed somewhat near the tank, so no wires will be seen across your living room! or cover it with a rug..

I already did that. You can't see the wires. lol And I don't have any rugs/carpets in the living/family room.
