Powerlifters are built just like d-linemen and they take roids like candy. Steroids are not just for people with ripped bodies. They are taken for mass, strength and recovery time. 3 things that Hollis DEFINITELY needs.
And no ,you didnt bring a "homer analysis". You gave nothing but typical coachspeak that is true for EVERY single game played between any teams. Turnovers, run the ball.... gee, never heard that before. The only thing you forgot was penalties may also be key

You most likely will not run as effectively against our line as we will against yours. Bush will not be able to get outside on Ware(remember the preseason?) and your line is not good enough for McCallister to run consistently, IMO. This will put too much pressure on Brees and he likely will make 1-2 more mistakes than Romo which will cost you the game. Of course, Parcells doesnt blitz much so if you can hadle our front 4 straight up, you may have a chance. If you cant handle our front four or Parcells blitzs more often, i see a long night for the Saints. No need for me to go into ridiculous +/- points for every aspect of the game. That is left to people who think they know about handicapping.
handle your front four on defense ...I thought you played a base 3-4?
I know no other wat to approach a game...you can read my o vs d analysis and points I attributed to each.
Coachspeak...I consider that a compliment.
Hey oceanists...not problem...you are okay in my book.
Emmett...simply carry on.....I'm done now as I have provided my input to the subject matter....If I hear anything out of New Orleans that might be of interest I'll bring it here...positive or neagtive regrding the game.
There is nothing to report from D on injuries as I beleive they have listed none.
Again, Emmitt...feel free to extrapolate a couple things I have said and twist them to fit your agenda or label them as you see fit.
I really do not place much stock in preseason...but if you beleive those games or played at the same level as the regular season...that is up to you.
You can continue on with whatever you hope to accomplish here.
I'm gonna sit the rest of this out as far as debate as I have no further points to make.....I beleive all those that follow both teams have staked their claim...so there is nothing left but the ramblings. I've rambeled enough so I'll leave that to others to continue on.
ocenaists get well soon. I know that high powered offense you will face on Sunday night must have you under the weather out of fear

Take care

No need to twist anything.....Hollis cheated.......thats a FACT. Just wanna make sure you come down as hard on Hollis as you have done others. I know how sympathetic you are to players who have taken illegal drugs on other teams. Just want to make sure you include Hollis on that list

And no, the preseason isnt a fair representation of regular season games but you gotta admit it was HILARIOUS watching Reggie try to get outside and having Ware grab him and throw him down like a ragdoll.
p.s.- unless my math is off, your "analysis" comes out to a tie game????

You are corredct emmitt..as I stated..... pick it in my post ..that is what pick it means in the world of handicapping and/or it is called even. I am proud you actually did the math.
That is before I read the story about Tank...and after given the matter more thought I do beleive I may have overstated the intangibl;es at +7 for the Saints. It could be a +3 which would give Dallas a +4 advantage at 27-24. I am not certain if I have any offsetting error regarding the intangibels ...but I have to stick with what I posted.
As I stated...I would bring things here...from the Biloxi TImes today....
Numerous reports have said Saints team doctor John R. Amoss prescribed Thomas' asthma medication, but it hasn't been confirmed.
Amoss' letter to the league on Oct. 31 said Thomas was taking Advair and an albuterol inhaler. Advair contains both the steroid fluticasone and the long acting beta agonist salmeterol, both of which aren't on the banned substance list.
Amoss also wrote that with the combination of albuterol and salmeterol, "the possibility of a false positive test in this case would appear to be highly plausible." There was no mention in the letter that the team doctor had prescribed the medication.
Ron Slavin, Thomas' agent, said Thomas didn't apply for an exception with the league and that the Saints should have done so.

All that nonsense means is he cheated and is trying to weasel out of it. The possibility is highly plausible?!?!!? That sounds completely ridiculous
Shocking, the Saints team doctor and his AGENT are sticking up for him! Who would have thought?????

Those meds are NOT the STEROID that he tested positive for! As the previous article stated, if he has a medical condition the league would have gladly gave him a medical exemption to take his required medication. He didnt do that and tested POSITIVE for a STEROID, not asthma medication. The STEROID he tested positive for is not in ANY of his asthma medicine. To say that the mixture of meds combined to false positive for a banned steroid is a plausible possibilty sounds about as legit as Bonds saying he didnt know the liquid he put under his tongue before working out wasnt steroids

Hopefully, Hollis didnt share his "asthma medicine" with too many of his fellow defensemen or we very well might lose.

THe league has spoken....they are the judge and jury. The point was they beleive it ot be a false positive for a banned substance...the league has stated otherwise...case closed. THe team suppeorted the apeal along wiht the Doctor..to no avail and the league has spoken and responded to his claims.
This guy does not think much about ANY team in the NFC...for your reading pleasure if you are so inclined. He does have a few good points...

INSIDE THE NFL
By Cam Inman
On a wall at Mulate's Cajun-themed restaurant in New Orleans is a framed copy of a 2000 Times-Picayune sports section.
"AT LAST!" blares the Dec. 31, 2000, headline, commemorating the first -- and last -- playoff victory in New Orleans Saints history.
As the Saints (8-4) close in on the NFC South title and a trip to the postseason for the first time since 2000, they will likely be joined in the wide-open NFC playoffs by other top seeds who can't puff their chests out when it comes to recent playoff success.
As hot as the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys (8-4) are, their last postseason win came in the 1996 season, a wild-card triumph for the final playoff victory during their 1990s dynasty.
The Chicago Bears (10-2) have just won their second straight NFC North title. But they haven't won a playoff game since the 1995 season, doing so against the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round before falling to the eventual Super Bowl champion 49ers. Last year's Bears lost their postseason debut at home in the divisional round, just like their 2001 team.
Rounding out the NFC division leaders are the Seattle Seahawks, whose 8-4 record gives them a cushy three-game gap over the 49ers (5-7) and St. Louis Rams (5-7). The Seahawks, of course, are the defending NFC champion, in case you forgot, which would have been a wise move considering how poorly played Super Bowl XL was in Detroit.
But before they reached the Super Bowl behind home wins over the Washington Redskins (20-10) and Carolina Panthers (34-14), the Seahawks hadn't won a playoff game since 1984. They were one-and-done in playoff appearances in the 1987, 1988, 1999, 2003 and 2004 seasons.
So, over the past decade, the current NFC division leaders have combined for only four playoff victories.
Think the AFC is quivering with fear?
Familiar franchises sit atop the AFC race: the Indianapolis Colts (10-2), San Diego Chargers (10-2), Baltimore Ravens (9-3) and New England Patriots (9-3).
The Patriots, Colts and Ravens have all played in an AFC Championship game since 2000, with the Patriots winning three Super Bowls and the Ravens one. As for the Chargers, OK, maybe they aren't that familiar to postseason talk, having last won a playoff game during their 1994 club's path to Super Bowl humility against the 49ers.
So which NFC team has the gumption to reach Super Bowl XLI in Miami? Take your pick, except for the Detroit Lions, who've been eliminated from the chase, along with fellow 2-10 doormat, the Raiders.
The Cowboys have long been hyped as a Super Bowl candidate, with owner Jerry Jones saying back in training camp that he had "high expectations" and landing a playoff berth "wouldn't be enough."
They're on the right track thanks to the emergence of quarterback Tony Romo and an overshadowed defense. But the Cowboys have stunk under coach Bill Parcells down the stretch, closing out the regular season 2-3 in each of Parcells' first three seasons in Dallas.
Cont'd

The Bears might be doomed if they need to overcome a deficit and thus rely on dreadful quarterback Rex Grossman (1.3 passer rating Sunday against the Vikings).
The Seahawks are trying to do something last seen 33 years ago: Rebound from a Super Bowl loss to win the next Lombardi Trophy, something done only by the 1973 Miami Dolphins and 1972 Cowboys. Injuries have kept the Seahawks offense out of sync, bad tackling has plagued their defense and Josh Brown may have used all his mojo in kicking four last-minute, game-winning field goals.
The Saints have a dynamic offense but an iffy defense. A Saints' victory Sunday night in Dallas -- where coach Sean Payton previously worked under Parcells -- could go a long way in terms of how the top four seeds are decided.
Then again, as we were reminded last year, a high seeding doesn't guarantee wins. The Pittsburgh Steelers became the first No. 6 seed to win a Super Bowl, and the Panthers were just the third No. 5 seed since 1990 to reach a conference final.
All of which means the NFC wild-card scrum could produce your Super Bowl sleeper. Those wild-card contenders: the Panthers (6-6), New York Giants (6-6), Atlanta Falcons (6-6), Philadelphia Eagles (6-6), 49ers (5-7), Rams (5-7) and Vikings (5-7). None of those seven clubs is on a win streak of more than one game, so it's not as if any are hot stuff.
Think the AFC is quivering with fear?
Maybe the NFC should have a bowl system instead of playoffs. And maybe we should reserve the best bowl -- Super Bowl XL -- for the AFC's proven franchises.

Everyone is all over the AFC but the reality is their best teams have just as many flaws as the NFC teams. The Bears, Cowboys, Saints and Seahawks(if healthy) could very well beat any team in the AFC in the Superbowl. The Afc may have more good teams but no unbeatable teams. Its not like the early 90's when the Cowboys and 49's were much better than any AFC team. The Afc has more depth for sure but they will not be huge favorites in the Super Bowl regardless of which NFC team gets there. The odds of the NFC winning the Superbowl are about 50-50 right now, IMO. The AFC is by no means a sure bet to win.
Experience has NOTHING to do with it anymore, imo. Thats what everyone said about us in 92 against SF and we know what happened to SF's experience. I'll take talent over experience any day. Look how many teams have come from horrible to the superbowl in 1 year and dominate. The rams and patriots had little playoff experience and both dominated and won their 1st superbowls out of nowhere with 1st year quarterbacks no less.

thought this was hilarious
Bill Parcells comment when asked if he was dissapointed that Owens didnt here a word he said.
"No because he sucks you guys right in. He hears everything I say and he can tell me three weeks froms now what I said today. So he sucks you guys right in. So consider yourselves sucked."

A true Parcells comment. And he is right the media will use anything to get TO so TO has found a way to bait them. Just like when he sad he doesnt trust anybody in the locker room, its all a game that he has started to play with the media to make them look like the stupid drama masters that they are.
Even if you arent a Cowboys fan it is funny to watch

Nice game promo. I saw the video they did on the nfl network and it was also very well done. I hope the game lives up to the hype some are making...
Attention America: Your teams are playing
By Adam Schefter
Special to NFL.com
Adam Schefter's "Around the League" reports and commentaries can be seen regularly on NFL Total Access.
(Dec. 7, 2006) -- In a matchup juicier and hipper than any red state versus a blue one, it's America's Team versus the team America cheers.
This is the Cowboys against the Saints. A rejuvenated Bill Parcells against his former pupil Sean Payton, the coach who has rejuvenated an entire franchise.
This is Tony Romo, the hottest player in football, against the Saints, the best story in football.
This is two teams with two Pro-Bowl quarterbacks -- something Dallas hasn't had since Troy Aikman 10 years ago and something New Orleans hasn't had since Archie Manning 26 years ago, when baby Peyton was in tow.
Dallas hasn't won a playoff game in nine years, New Orleans in six, and now each team dreams of the type of postseason as magical as its regular season has been.
This is a flex scheduling holiday gift, and this is what should be highlighted.
If the Cowboys are indeed America's team, then Romo is the new Captain America.
And if the Saints are the team America cheers, then Reggie Bush is the new American Idol.
When NFL Films began unveiling its riveting series ranking football's all-time top 20 teams, it billed it as America's Game.
This week, Cowboys-Saints really is.

Good luck, win, lose or draw.
With the Seahawks loss, the winner of this game will almost definitely be the #2 seed in the NFC.

The Saints sure are looking good right now. It is still too early to make any real conclusions about the outcome.
I need the Cowboys to lose after my Colts were embarassed. They really need to do something about their defense. If the Cowboys win tonight it will be a long day at work tomorrow. First I will get ragged on about the Colts blowout and then I will have to hear about the Cowboys all day....

Was that you Oceanists that whined for 3 pages or so about how miserable of a player Reggie Bush is?
My TV may be broken, but it looks to me like he just lit your team up.
I wouldn't crown your Cowgirls quite yet, the Saints look like they're actually the better team.

The Saints are playing really well so far, and everything is clicking for them, despite efforts from the refs to cheat them out of this game (the blatant face mask on the punt return, TO's holding on the Julius Jones TD - to name two instances).

Onside kick after a TD. Great stuff. Dallas has been completely out coached and out played. Hopefully this game will open some eyes and the amount of people jumping on the Cowgirl bandwagon will subside a little.

Cowboys are awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwfull tonight.....
Sean Payton is an absolute ***hole, that onside kick was cheap and shouldve been Dallas ball, touched the kicker twice.
Refs are !!!!!!!!!!HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! tonight, game almost looks bought but oh well.
Guess the Saints are going to win the next decade of superbowls now.
Sean Payton hasnt done anything tonight. Thje Cowboys beat themselves. Refs didnt help either....
I want to know how pass interference turns into a 5 yard penalty, why werent the cowboys given a choice?
4th and 5 with a 5 yard penalty makes 4th and 3 inches???????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That ref needs to think about retiring and giving up hios drivers lisence.

I am definately enjoying this game, but I won't rub it in (at least not to Oceanist because he was a good sportsman when Indy lost to Dallas).
The Dallas defense is looking like my Colts defense right now and that is not a good thing......
