Any Nascar fans out there? Really excited about the start of the season. Jr's looking good, although I don't like his new team. And how about AJ Allmendinger (had to give a shout out to Spiderwoman).

I am ready too. Can't say I'm a fan of any one guy, I route for a couple of them. I like all kinds of motorsports, I hope F1 is good this year too. Supercross is kind of so, so these days, don't get me wrong I absolutely love the sport, tired of seeing the same people win over and over. I guess most motorsports are like that to some extent(the Hendrick crew won over 50% of the races last year). I'm looking forward to Thursday.

I'm a Dale Jr. fan all the way, so thats whos gonna win. And except for the daytona, talledega, and bristol races, I only watch the end of the race if that.

Dunno, this season seems wide open. I'm a Childress boy through and through, so I wouldn't mind seeing Harvick repeat. Junoir wouldn't be too bad,
and if it came down to it, I'd take a Hendrick car over a freaken Toyota anyday....

Another Nascar fan here! My hubby works for one of the teams so I'm pretty involved in it, like it or not. I'm also a huge F1 fan GO KIMI!!!! Rally is another that I watch as much as I can. Then again I come from Europe where F1 and Rally racing is the king :)

I am believing this will be a great year for Jr now that he finally has a good car to drive. I'd love to see him pull off the 500!!!!!

I think he's got about the best chance he has had in a long time. I think it's going to be an interesting season for that team. I don't really like dominant teams, but I like Jr, so I have no choice. But with the other two being strong as well, I think there's going to be alot of "teammate paint rubbin"...could lead to some conflicts.
As far as #20, I predict he's roughed up 1/4 way into the race. He's too impatient. So if he's not out of the race by the end, he will probably be several laps off the lead lap.

Another 20 hater...I understand...It's easy to hate the best pure driver, if he drove for Hendrick, he would have about 6 overall championships by now instead of just 2.

Tony might would do that to 48, but he & Jr are friends. But I'm sure there's going to be some good action

I'm not a 20 hater. He's one heck of a driver, especially for a big guy that's claustrophobic. But he is just so impatient, and can't keep his temper under control on/off the track. But he's good...look where he was on the shootout

Hehe I just saw the mention of AJ :)
I have a fairly strong feeling that he won't make the dual on Thursday. They haven't found the speed and already switched engines. Toyota engine crew was there on Monday instructing them to do that. Something about a $^@#$# part being faulty (I can't remember which part it was).
About Tony: He is a big kid at heart and the reason IMO why he is the way he is, is that he never had to do any *real* work to earn money, everything was handed to him on a silver platter. He always had money around, had the right sponsors. Most of the other guys had to work hard to get where they are now so they don't take anything for granted.
Just my $0.02 worth :)

Yes, Tony is how he is, however the reason he has had everything on a "silver platter", is because he is such a gifted driver, and sponsors have always seen this. He is one of the only guys that would have success in any car be it F1, Cart (or any open wheel), Stock, Rally ect.

True, but also his parents were there to pay for everything when he was starting this. My husband worked for Tony during his Busch series years at Bobby Labonte and then on the cup side in 1999 when he was the rookie of the year. He has seen how Tony is and where he came from. He never *had* to work to pay for his cars that he drove from early on.
