They are under 70w metal halides and in a low flow area. I feed them mysis shrimp once a week.
I'm not an artist, but I love art, and I'm actually minoring in art history. My avatar is actually me fooling around on photo booth on my mac. lol.
That's cool. I also minored in Art Histroy with a degree in Graphic Design.
I'll look into the mini-carpets a bit more, thanks much for your input.

do you have any problem with them stinging each other? tank looks great
thanks! no, I've had a couple accidents with my rics falling on my acans, but other than that they all have enough room between each other.

I majored in graphic design for a while, but I discovered that I just don't have the patience for that lol. I'm majoring in marketing now.
Let me know if you find any cool mini carpets online!

I'll post some photos if and when I'm able to get a few mini-carpets. Thanks again.
What tested your patience with a graphic design major?

photoshop drove me crazy! with all the layers and everything... I don't know... for some reason I wasn't good at it and I always got frustrated easily, so I gave it up lol.

Yeah, there's a technical side to GD that makes it different than traditional art. You can always get your art fix out with the art history minor. I was surprised how much I enjoyed my art history classes.

Heres an updated full tank shot that I took today. I know its really overgrown, but I'll be starting my larger tank in the summer.

Awsome tank! I just started mine and I can't wait for my tank to be full of corals like yours.

thanks bonebrake! I was looking for a thread on your 90 gal... You should start one! I'm doing a very small upgrade. My new tank is only going to be 18 gallons, but that's 18 gallons of display, so it'll be quite a bit bigger than this tank.
here are some more shots I took.

what kind of camera are you using? And how do you get it so close up?

I don't think demartini even uses one, but you can get awesome closeups with just about any camera and a macro lens.

Thank you so much! It's a Tyree Leather toadstool, it's kinda hard to find. I had been looking for one for a while, and I finally found a baby at a LFS about an hour from my house. That LFS tends to have a lot of cool stuff.
Ahhhh I am guessing a Steve Tyree specialty coral?... well in that case I am prob going to have better luck getting hit by lightining.
If it gets too big and you need to frag a piece... you know where to look to get rid of the frag.
I pay well....

Demartini.. you use the sunpod on your biocubes right? i just purchased the 150watt sunpod for my 29 gallon and was wondering if you cover your tank at night since it no longer has the stock lid on it?? it still gets too cold here at night to not have a cover on the tank so i was wondering if you made a cover or found one that fits it?

yes I do use the sunpod. Your heater should be able to keep up the temperature at night... or you can make your own lid out of a sheet of styrofoam for at night. I don't use a lid.

ooooo I love my sexy shrimp!! they love to hang out in my mini carpet anemones and my plate coral.
I have 2 pom pom crabs, but I don't see them much. Your crab is probably just hiding.
I usually squirt some mysis at them because they both run out whenever I feed my fish.
