Demartini, Do you think that the 70W MH lighting upgrade helped your ricordea?
I have a biocube 14 with lots of orange rics and some of them are cupping up reaching for the light.
Will rics lose color with pc lighting? Did your rics gain color after the MH upgrade?
My bulbs are 13 months old so I was going to upgrade.
I was going to get the 3.24 pc upgrade but if that isn't enough light for the bright orange rics I want to get the MH.
Do you get any temp spikes in the summer with the MH?
Which upgrade would be best for ricordea? I dont want them to lose color.

Since you are upgrading you might as well put the money into the best lighting you can get, so I say go with MH lighting... it will also give you more options for other higher light corals and clams. Since my biocube is topless the temperature actually dropped a little.

Demartini, I just ordered a 16.5" sunpod 70W HQI!!!

It took me a while to find someone who has the 16.5" version. I cant wait to see it on my tank.
How much do you have to top off per day with the top now open?
Thanks for your help

Yay! you're going to love your new light!
I'm not really sure how much I top off a day... Maybe like a cup or two.

he's definitely a cool little guy! from Atlantis? How do you feed him? I know they only eat starfish, but doesn't that pollute the water in your nano?

Did you get those yumas locally?
no, but if you are looking for some really nice yumas you can find them at Atlantis aquarium in union city... unfortunately they charge outrageous prices.

Yeah Atlantis.. i love that place.. they have sooooo many sps.. as for the shrimp.. i have been feeding them legs of a chocolate chip star till they starts searching for stars on their own (I have a ton of those hitch hiker little stars)
They are in my 29g bio and i do 3 gallon water changes on it every sunday so my water qaulity should stay pretty good. (hopefully) plus its only just a tiny little peice of starfish and the shrimp eat up most of it..
ps. Anyone going to the coral farmers market thing in Fremont?? the guy at Atlantis said its pretty cool

Laurennnnnnn!

Can you come over and take pics of my stuff so that I can post them??

There is no one that takes better close-up pictures than you!~

Question for ya... how are your Picasso's doing? Got any updated pics of them? I just placed my order for a pair through here and should be getting them on Saturday. I can only hope that I get a pair as nice as the ones you got!

Here are some I took last week. They colored up a lot since I got them and are starting to get some black in between the bars.
