Somehow that just seems unfair.

When I hit the lottery; I'll make U second. Of course you know the odds are better of me getting hit by lightning!!!

Any updates or new pictures of the tank???

Well last night the tests were the same, except Nitrates are cominmg down. it's been 12 days; I'm seriously thinking of putting in a couple Nerite snails to take care of the diatom bloom. See how that goes, give it another week to make sure it's stable and maybe add a fish.....

I wouldn't yet, wait till the nitrates 0 out and then add them. You came this far already just a few more days.

If I remeber correctly, the Nitrate were at 10 the other day and already coming down. I would guess that they would be 0 within a week; maybe even less.

Haha, I know. The water change is a good idea, I would aim for between 10-15%. After that I would say, you would be good to go ahead and start adding a few snails. Maybe something like 3 nassarius, 2 cerith, and a turbo or trochus snail to start. Once you start adding fish and what not you can see where you may need the extra help. You are so close and have been doing great

Thanks Subie; I find I have to stay OUT of the fish stores right now.. Not even going near them..
I rush home every night and first thing I do is test my water.

You sound just like me, haha. Never realized I was OCD, until I got a salt tank
I had to do the same thing with fish stores, couldn't even go in to talk because I knew I would walk out with something. Just think in another week, you can start stocking your beautiful tank up.
Any ideas on a fish stocklist yet? How bout coral stock list?

For the CUC: nassarious snails, trochus snails, and some Nerite or Cerith, also thinking an emerald crab. Maybe 2 hermits just for amusement.
A firefish- probably the purple, a royal gramma, a pair of Percula clowns, and I read a thread that you can convert Mollies to saltwater since they are brackish anyway. I have a pair of lyrtail black mollies that are beautiful and I'm going to convert them. I'm thinking since firefish are so shy I should probably put it in before anything. So it will be my first fish in.
As for the corals; I've never done corals before; I really like the duncans, but have never seen them for sale around here. The Rics are beautiful, I have spotted a couple mushrooms and the zoas are awesome!! Start with the easy stuff.

Helfrich firefish is where it's at. They are gorgeous and rare, see expensive.
I've seen them. I could NOT pay that much for a fish and something happen to it.. I'd die.. TOOO expensive for my blood. If you look in the dictionary under "expensive" there's a Helfrich firefish pic next to the meaning...

Hmm the thread I read in here said they lived longer in saltwater since they were a brackish fish? Guess I'll have to go research that one.

But my lyrtails are beautiful and they don't really stand out in my freshwater tank.. They would in the saltwater one.. LOL
These last few days are driving me mad... I am soo excited to FINALLY be able to put something in there.
