Bang: You are right on the chemistry, I just don't think that, given the nature of the systems we are dealing with, the temperature of the water at the time matters much in terms of the solubilities of the ions involved.
In truth, you are probably right in most cases. In experience I have seen times when someone complains of "undissolved salt" and when I get there it turns out to be precipitated Calcium carbonate and using cold water instead of warm water resolves the issue. At minimum, just wait until it's mixed before worrying about warming it up to temperature.

I believe I can verify that as well. For a period of time on my old system I had moved my mixing container out to my garage where it was pretty warm in the summer time and I started getting quite a bit of calcium carbonate residue left behind in the container. Moved the container back inside after a while where it was cooler and I noticed a significant difference.
There's typically less oxygen in warmer water and from what I understand the excess carbon dioxide plays a roll in slowing down the the solubility of calcium carbonate.

That's for sure. There isnt enough rental space to go around for everyone right now in the area. Somebody just caught an 11 ft tiger shark out there weekend before last. Right out in the surf between Packery and the pier. Mmmmm, shark steak...gotta love it.
I suppose I'm partially at fault... I worked on some of the first houses going up on the isle. There were only a few dozen when I left, but I can barely recognize the place when I look at pictures of it now. Better hope they have those buildings anchored down. I was there when Celia took out the pier, and half of Corpus. Wow... 11' is a lot of shark! And a lot of shark steaks! LOL!
