Stay on UPS until they pay up. If you want I can call everyday and trouble Mrs. Penny
Update:
Sparty059 took my Goby. I will miss him but I know he will love the bigger tank and the good stuff from his refugium keeping him heathy.
My little in tank refugium was teeming with life, and I have now seeded my dead sad bed and redid my rocks, Last night I spotted lots of little critters all over the rocks. My little refugium was doing pretty good...as I removed rock to catch my goby amphipods were everywhere.
Oh and I again found my fire shrimp very much alive and well. It has been many moons since I have last seen it.
So I am ready for the new refugium and when it arrives I will order live sand for it from SWF.com

Update, I tried to get the material on Friday unfortunately I can't get it till Monday. Monday night I will start building it, shouldn't take me too long. What is the latest with the logistics (shipping mode).

The cartons and loadspreaders are ready, I will pick them up during lunch today. I still may be able to ship the packages out to you and Shawn tomorrow as promised, but it *may* be Wednesday.

Copy of email sent earlier today:
Shawn and Al,
The packaging for both sump and fuge is complete. All that is left is labeling and shipping which
will happen tomorrow.
This is what the inner pack looks like:

The corrugated strips between the PE foam corners are the "load spreaders". The will tend to
spread the load away from the open edges of the acrylic. These cushions are deliberately designed
to be very tight. This inner pack blocks and braces the items and serves as a last line of defense.
A poly bag is included in the package to wrap the sump and fuge in to avoid any abrasion.
This is the inner pack inside the overpack:

This softer PU foam is what does the heavy lifting. At this point, we are no longer cushioning
a sump, we are cushioning a carton that so happens to have a sump or fuge inside.
Note in the right bottom corner the edge of the carton. This outer carton is 350DW (Double Wall).
making the carton very crush and puncture resistant. Also note the hand holds in the width panels.
A roll of 3" clear carton tape is also included in both packs.
Thanks
Joe

I can assume UPS will not be the group of monkeys entrusted with the sump this time...So who are you sending this through, USPS or Fed X?
Good job on packaging hardly seem adequate...LOL, I wonder how to work this into my poem when I revise it???

I have a feeling that a forklist got ahold of the last one to do that much damage.
Nice packaging!

I am thinking FED EX - working on the fuge tonight Flower - I would like to paint it if it is OK with you, it is entirely up to you - I will use fusion krylon on the outside of the fuge which is totally safe for saltwater. We can see what others say about the paint. I won't be painting till after the water leak test. Off to the shop. I will check in later.

I drive a forklift on a daily basis and have never damaged anything like what happened to Flower's sump.
Good work on the packaging!

so your a better driver than the guy who did hehehe, I thoguth in the pictures it looked like there was a pretty good sized gash in the middle/side of the box, you can't get that by dorring it unless you dropped it sideways on the corner of something else.
Just looks forkliftish to me. I sued to work at HD and Ive seen ALOT of FL damage.

It's too much trouble to bother to paint it; it sits under the cabinet anyway out of sight. Someday I may replace the doors so I can look under and see my sump. But as you know refugiums always get so much algae and look terrible anyway. I liked the smoked glass look and Shawn had it matching the stand and all, but it has become so much work and it’s the 3rd refugium already...at this point I will be very happy with intact and functional.

I have all the hardware Shawn sent to go on the refugium as well as the skimmer stand. I also have the hoses and fantastic Gizmo Corey sent. So I'm good to go as soon as I get the sump and refugium here and undamaged..

I haven't heard from Shawn, I don't know how long UPS will make him wait on his claim against them. I had a box delivered late from the post office that was guaranteed to be on time, and they made good on it right then and there.
