Al; the fuge is looking good, nice work. Is it the same measurements as the origional plan?
Slice; Now that's the way a package should be done!
Flower; Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Just a different brand than what Shawn uses, I made a goldfish pond sump out of this, works fine, just finished attaching the bottom. The joints look really good and solid. I will post more pictures later.

The you are! A new member needed info on plumbing two tanks at once...did you see the post?
Thanks Corey, exact same dimensions +/-1/32 - a saw that post I was going to reply I wanted to see what you were going to say. But probably one big pump - tee'd off feed to both tanks - i think if he went with two pumps if one of them failed there might be a problem, or not. If he had two pumps he would need extra room in his sump/fuge for both tanks draing to minimum level of overflow. I will go there now.

Nope I hadn't seen that yet guys but I'll take a look and see if I can find it. The wife and I have been super busy cleaning up the house for company coming to town. I had to get the construction zone/dinning room under control. It actually looks like a real dinning room now. It'll be a shame once construction begins again.

Oh I thought that was from you Corey, it was from Flower. I replied to the other new member. Here is my last shot of the day, Everything is glued or chemicaly melted together except the top, I have to do some polishing on the inner edge. Have good night.

Awesome! I guess if Flower wanted to she could always pick up one of those all black aquarium backrounds to put on there as an option. I liked the black and I like the clear.

Thanks Corey, I just have to polish the top part, I don't know if I can get it as polished as Shawn does but I will try. I also have to route the excess on the bottom piece. Joints look really good I put a small bead of the thicker glue on the joints, forget the name, don't have the bottle we have gallons of it at work. Tomorrow I will finish the top and do a one day leak check. Oh yah Shawn if you read this tonight I need those dimensions for the bulkheads.

Al, it's beautiful! LOL...I don't need a black background the clear looks just fine. I was trying to save you some work and time. If we go back into the posts doesn't Shawn give the bulkhead measures??? I have to go to work but I will try and find that post...it's like a needle in a haystack.
Oh and I'm so proud of myself, I thought how to answer that new member about the two tanks, and I thought to myself a really good pump to put out enough power for both tanks and tee off the hoses. From the answer given, I see that I was right.
Now to see if I can find that post real quick...if not I won't post further and wait for Shawn.

Thanks Flower, we are all learning a lot from each other, that's what is so great about this place. I wish I could build stuff like this everyday. Don't worry about the bulkhead dimensions tonight, I am sure shawn will get them out to us. Don't work to hard tonight.

I have to go...I found the post on the refugium on page 35 but no mention of the bulkhead sizes. Thank you so much...it really does look awesome, I love you guys. Have a good night!

Al, on page 38 Shawn talks about fitting sizes..that should tell you the size of the holes for the refugium.

Maybe UPS did away with him to shut him up...our friend could be at the bottom of a river wearing concrete shoes. We nor his family wouldn't miss him or days because he works so much.
What gets me is that USPS paid out the moment I complained. He works for UPS and they hassle him.
He said he was going to bother them first thing Monday, that's the last I heard of him...all the kidding aside..I hope he didn't hurt himself.

Hi Al,
You are so good at measures...I just scored two all glass 30g long tanks I want to convert one into a sump...what size baffles do I have the hardware guy cut for me? The tank is 12 inches wide, but the baffles have to be a tiny bit shorter to fit inside, and use silicone to keep them in place...or am I wrong on that? I also need to know how tall inside to make them...I'm thinking half way up. I also want to section off a place for a refugium...I can copy Corey's design for where to place the hoses and get a small CPR overflow for it....
What do you think?

Flower, I will make a drawing up tonight, give me the exact inside dimensions of the tank to be converted into the sump.
