definitely no ich spots - luckily.
things today seem a little better - less scratching. the eye still looks the same. I'll try to get a magnifying glass. I'll also try to get a better photo.

tonight - feeding quite well. ate like a champ actually. I check w/ the LFS, none of the ocean nutrition angel formula - so I ordered some online. Until then, still a blend of seafood plus nori and formula 1&2. All soaked in vitamins and garlic.
I took a close look with a magnifying glass tonight - hard to get a clear look, but it seems to be healing actually! The spot seems smaller. To describe it - it looks entirely superficial. The small white dot and surrounding cloudiness seems to be only on the surface. When the queen was facing me, I was able to see a cross-section of the eye - and the cloudiness is not on the inside at all. I'm not sure if I'm helping out at all w/ this description, but I took another couple photos and I'll post them when they are done uploading.
Also, the emperor's spot seems to be healing too.

well, prazipro is here. the queen may look somewhat better, but she's still scratching some and is going up to the emperor still for cleaning. so prazi is going in!
if it is indeed flukes, how long after treatment will I see improvement in here scratching, etc??

Still hard to tell what that speck on the eye is from the picture. You've tried the FW dip so I suppose medication is the next step.

the prazipro bottle says it takes a one time dose treatment 5 days to be effective. if things improve, great - if not, what should I do? I'm supplementing vitamins/garlic and I've ordered ocean nutrition angel formula.
so if this doesn't work, then should I proceed with maracyn or maracyn 2?

Do you ever see this thing move? A parasitic worm would move, at least curling of the tail would be noted. I have never used Prazipro so I cannot tell you how effective it will be.

hey sep - no, haven't seen anything move...
but now, day after prazipro went in - I can barely even notice the white spot on her eye. And I haven't seen her scratch yet today.) fingers crossed!
Hey guys... it's been almost 3 wks since they've been added to the QT. Would you keep them in the QT another 4-6 wks after they've been fully healthy? Or would you add them sooner?

I don't think an additional 4-6 weeks after they are completely healthy is necessary but I certainly wouldn't add them in quite yet. Give it a few more weeks and watch them very carefully.

a quick pic from tonight. as you can see, she still has quite a bit of healing to do... but the white spot is gone.

Sorry to hear about your sick fish. The queen's eye looks much better. Not to completely stray from the topic of your sick fish, but how is the knobby star? I am thinking of getting one??
How is the rest of the tank??

Definite improvement

Yea, I would probably keep them in there for another 3 weeks if no signs return (scratching, spots) from now. What's left on the queen is a bit of head and lateral line erosion, which comes from the stress. You could add the lion to the display a bit quicker it you wanted to.

cool - thanks guys.
regarding the knobby - doing great! I give it some meaty foods along with the fish during feedings. Seems to be thriving, but as with other stars - can't really tell for quite a few months if it's going to make it. One unique thing about it - man! it can move! It moves very fast. but yeah, I'm glad I got it. And for the price, you can't beat such a cool little addition.
regarding the other fish, they're doing great also. All seem to be growing. The SFE is growing like a weed though. And it's never really satisfied when I feed. I can give it 4 large silversides and a few chunks of other meaty foods and it will still come back out for more.
that's what I'm thinking too - 3 more weeks in QT and continue the same supportive treatment with supplementation. I think things will be great within 3 weeks.

thanks man. yeah, still doing great. the colors are really coming back in her - maybe even better than when I first got her. I can't wait to introduce her to the rest in the 180.
WHOA! I just found your 220 thread. I somehow totally missed it. it's awesome!

Thanks Truefishman.
And thanks sep..
yeah, doing great! I'll get a pic over the weekend.
Really the only areas left is some lateral line it seems. Just above and below the eye are two areas that the scales still have not re-grown yet.. the area is still pale compared to the rest of her. But no redness or active sore areas. She's eating like a champ still and has even started shooting to the one side of the tank each time I walk downstairs - in anticipation of feeding time, I guess.
