Some of the more sophisticated stuff they rely on us for. It has always been assumed anything we have they do but several years ago when Palestinian terrorists were firing rockets into Israel we supplied them with patriot missile units to help defend against the attacks.

That may be true, but I would guess its just easier to buy from us than build their own. I doubt its because they dont have the capability. They are also widely believed to have nukes as well.

You're saying that the Pentagon or whoever runs the security or Embassy's around the world need to get some approval from Obama to do the obvious? If they knew they were coming, why didn't they increase the forces supporting the buildings, or simply get the people out of there? The President can't control every single aspect of the government. That's what the executive staff is for.

YES! Our military can't just send in the Marines on their own.

Yep. And that alone proves who the aggressor in all this MidEast mess is. If Israeli's were the murdering monsters the Arabs said they were, they would have nuked all those that keep attacking them years ago. The government of Israel officially denied it, but a retired Israeli general has said that they have 2 nukes each aimed at the Aswan Dam, Mecca and Medina. So, if attacked with nuclear or biological weapons, they take out all Islam. I wish they'd just nuke them already.

Makes you wonder what our government would do if under the same aggression that Isreal is. Makes you wonder where they get their strength in restraint. Makes me wonder anyway.

My way to get them to calm down would be ALOT more extreme but if they are NOT going to respect us and our Beliefs why should we. Called load up 4 MOABS with Pig Blood and Entrails Send one over Mecca and the other over Medina. Then tell them AFTER the Attack they so much as Burn a Flag outside any of our Embassies the Next time the Bombs will be W-61 2 Per City at 500 KT Each. Wonder if they would try our resolve. We have the Oil to support ourselves here in the USA.

You really want to start a holy war with a billion and a half Muslims in nearly every country on the planet?

It was just a short blub released by the Pentagon. I imagine the President was informed by the Joint Chief of Staff as to what the plan was. You tell me whether this type of deployment requires permission from the POTUS, or even Congress. I imagine the General has leeway to make some decisions without having to get approval from the POTUS.

This is not a war footing but a security issue. The deployment of Marines is the responsibility of the Secretary of Defense.

I asked my Brother that is Retired from the USAF what it was like on his Deployments to Saudi in the 90's he was like our Female troops just STAYED ON BASE so did the Female Officers TO PREVENT PROBLEMS with them being ORDERED AROUND by the Saudis Just because they are FEMALES. He Knows of 2 FEMALE F-16 Pilots that were RAPED in Saudi by Royal Saudi Air Force Pilots but Because the Trial would have to have been under ISLAMIC LAW nothing was done to the Men that did it to them. Over here we are Equal over there if your from the Wrong Country or the Wrong SEX they treat you worse than Micheal Vick used to treat his DOGS.
Disrespect of Holy Sites they have done it in the Past also. Called quit being PC and do what is NEEDED called kick butt and take Names. If Idiots like Obama where in Charge in WW2 We would have LOST. Every Study History we just Repeated IT in 1979 we had a WEAK President in Carter that sat on the Sidelines as IRAN Fell also had an Ambassador Killed in Afghanastan and unrest all over the Middle East. Lebonan Ring a BELL the Marine Barracks there. Defense Cutbacks lack of Manpower we are going down that same Road again. I hope like HELL we can avoid it totally.
