Hows This For My 125?!

Well, I would get a reef ready 90 gallon. Then you could use your empty 55 gallon that you have and use that as a sump/fuge. If this is a reef (not sure if your doing that) then we need to talk lights, but for now we'll skip that. The reef ready tank should come with all neccessary plumbing hardware. You'll have a pipe that drains into part of the sump (it will be divided into 3 parts) that first part will be where all equipment is...protein skimmer, heaters, that sort of thing. The second part will be the fuge (youll need a single strip 48" fluorescent light) the fuge will have LS and chaeto algae and a few pieces of live rock, then the third part will be where the pump (have to research to figure out what kind) will be to pump the water back into the main tank. That is natural filtration. Anything I didnt cover? I probably missed a lot.

Well, filtration wise...I HIGHLY recommend what I just said. For a 90 gallon I would get an AquaC skimmer. Get two 150 watt TITANIUM heaters...this way you'll have 300 watts which is plenty, and it will be titanium so it cant burst and sent voltage through your tank. For powerheads, I would look into 3 maxijet 900's. If you do a reef tank I would recommend the 48" outer orbit fixture so you can do ANYTHING you want.

Well, the skimmer would go in the sump part of the fuge...that fuge WOULD be your filtration, along with the LS and LR in your main tank!

How about the Outer Orbit 48" fixture? It has halides and PC's and lunar lights. For a total of 560 watts. You'd be able to do ANYTHING AND I MEAN ANYTHING you wanted!!! They are like 769 bucks. But TOTALLY worth it!

Sounds good...so your not going to do my idea? Doing my filtration idea, well it isnt my idea, but anyway, that keeps your nitrates as low as they can POSSIBLY be!!

LPS...are the meaty corals like torches, bubbles, candy canes, brains, etc. Softies are leathers, mushrooms, and zoos. With 260 watts, you could get a bubble tip anemone.

Yeah, but you can only do mushrooms and zoos under just fluorescents. They're doing great!!! Well you could do mushrooms, zoos, sponges, feather dusters, tube anemones (not fish eaters, huge myth), chili corals, sun corals, etc. That could make for a VERY INTERESTING TANK!!
